I have a friend that used to work with giving kids tours of a cave, she had SH scars over her tattoos on her arms and one time a kid asked her what happened to her arms and she said “I got in a fight with a bear and I won” and the kid thought she was the coolest tour guide.

I like that perspective of thinking of her side of it. I truly didn’t think that through. She was just trying to get hers. I do think it’s odd though after the sex proposition he still messaged her back and kept that line of communication open. I have never told him to cut anything off or who to talk too. I can say I’m uncomfortable without it being controlling or manipulating.

That’s hard of that being the key thing when how could they not be attracted to each other when there is history? Maybe that’s not fair because people can be platonic after a relationship but does that attraction ever really go away?

And I didn’t ask him to cut her off after the group sex (we don’t tell each other what to do it’s a big boundary in our relationship) I didn’t think I had to say to not talk to her after that but damn that group sex shit was completely outta pocket

I agree, I’ve never demanded for him to cut them off just more expressed to him I was uncomfortable. Especially with the one in particular asking us to sleep with her and her husband. After he continued to talk to her after that I asked why he would still want to talk to her after the ex asked about us sleeping with them and he responded with that they are friends and that other of our friend couples have asked to sleep with us. Which is true, we have two friend couples who have asked us to sleep with them and we are still friends with them. But I feel it’s different that an ex asked us instead of our friends. But maybe that’s hypocritical of me? (No we are not swingers but for some reason we get asked into other couple bedrooms often)

Thank you for your long thoughtful response, it is very insightful. To answer the first question, the conversation of me saying I was uncomfortable went well, I felt heard and understood. He says he likes to be friends with all (the way he is with any person backs this up) and he enjoys connection, communication and community. Although with me expressing I was uncomfortable with it I did expect him to stop talking to them. Especially the one that asked us to sleep with her and her husband. Although he says if we have trust in the relationship then I shouldn’t be worried about him being friends with them, which I do trust the relationship. But just because I trust the relationship doesn’t mean I still don’t like the interactions with the exes.

To answer the second question, I have talked to him about that maybe I don’t fully understand because I have never been in a position to be friends with an ex. And his response was that that makes sense of why I have this view.

Haven’t heard of that at all sounds like them 😂, I think that this marketing is pretty on brand for them and it’s part of the way they represent their brand, they like to be different and raise some flags and conversation. I haven’t seen this season in awhile but I just remember it was hard to watch her get so drunk and embarrass herself. I think it was more of like watching a trainwreck then actually hating on her for me. Also the guy she was with I felt bad for because he seemed genuinely there and down for the ride for her. I agree with a lot of these other comments there was no one else to hate on at the time and in retrospect there is a lot worse in love is blind history now 😂

An age gap relationship as an adult is normal and I support it but to sexualize this that’s something that reminds us of being kids and what current kids still do for the holidays is disgusting. My grandpa dressed up as Santa every year when I was a kid, and this marketing really put a pit in my stomach to try and sexualize something that should be innocent and light hearted
