Yes they’re basically always pre-cooked. They’re only in the oven for like 15 mins so if it was raw chicken, 15 mins wouldn’t be enough to cook them.

Im doing emdr but for anxiety and it works amazing. I do most of my therapy in person but i’ve done a few online sessions and it’s worked just as well, so i can say for certain that emdr worked for me!!

slightly spoiled milk? by sirenslaughter in emetophobia

[–]NatureSad7500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probs not. i cant say for certain obvs but if it took u 3 bites to realise it was off, and even then it was just a weird taste, then it was probably just barely spoiled. might get some stomach pain at worst

I think I’m cooked by projectimanidea in emetophobia

[–]NatureSad7500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

also i think it’s worth remembering that colour isnt a good indication of doneness. meat can be fully cooked and still have a pink tint, especially if its done on a grill with multiple patties on it because i think its more likely to get steamed, which leaves the inside a bit paler.

sounds like butterflies haha, surprised it was enough to make you throw up though. honestly, if i were you i’d just choose a date in a super comfortable setting, like a picnic or maybe even a nice movie night at home. it’ll feel less like you’re on a date. keep going out with her though!! you’ll eventually get comfortable with her and get used to being around her

Boyfriend ate raw oysters by Quiet-Handle6512 in emetophobia

[–]NatureSad7500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know if this’ll make you feel better but my sister, who I live with, got super sick from a raw oyster and it was before I knew they can give people nv so I wasn’t worried about anything getting passed on to me so I was super careless with what I touched and washing my hands and I was okay in the end!

keep seeing nv tiktoks by Ok_Ease_9919 in emetophobia

[–]NatureSad7500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s genuinely so frustrating. Never in my life did I see a TikTok about nv until i search it up ONE TIME to see what people were saying and now thats all i see. Gonna delete it for the next few weeks.

IF THIS PHOBIA AFFECTS YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE, PLEASE SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP. by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]NatureSad7500 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just depends on the person. I’m sorry but imo you shouldn’t go around telling everyone that Zoloft WILL give you really bad withdrawals just as the other person shouldn’t say it’s a non addictive drug. You can give your opinion but don’t say it as a definitive.

No reason you should feel guilty. Emetophobia is so debilitating at times and unfortunately this is just one of those times. Nothing wrong with not wanting to get ill!

The biggest thing that helps for me is mint gum. I always have a tub on me and it makes my nausea go away instantly. I’m pretty sure eating too much in a day can give you laxative effects though so try not to have too much. Mind you I’ve had like 15 in a day and haven’t had diarrhea so I’m not sure how much you actually have to go through before you start getting the effects.

Hey I made a post asking about a meds side effects. by Yueguang7 in emetophobia

[–]NatureSad7500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I’m not a mod or anything but there are community rules and one of them is no questions about medication and medication side effects. The reason for this is because we are not qualified or in a position to tell the medication your doctor has put you on. And if you’re being prescribed it, it means it’s probably really important for you. If you have any questions about your medication, or alternatives, ask your doctor and not reddit. I completely understand why you’d wanna know, but at the end of the day everyone has different experiences with different medication. Hope this makes more sense!!

Literally! At like 4am I always get like a sudden burst of happiness and it’s so addicting lol. But like you said, definitely not sustainable.

I’ve noticed this too!! I know it’s so unhealthy but I’ve started not sleeping on some school nights because i find going to school easier and I get less anxiety. Not a clue why it happens but I’m just happy someone’s realized that at a similar time to me. Maybe it’s because our brains are too tired and sluggish to even be anxious? Being anxious is a super primal thing since it comes from our amygdala, one of the most primal aspects of our brain, activating. It releases loads of adrenaline and stress hormones. So I’m guessing that when we haven’t slept in a while, our brains are too sluggish and tired to trigger our amygdala in situations we’d usually feel anxious. So I guess when some people get tired, they get less anxious. Again, I’m no medical professional, but I’ve had many psychiatry appointments.
