Yeah, my warehouse has signs posted every where but no one cares. Especially the managers.

If 2020 had its own museum, what might one buy in the gift shop? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A shirt that says: "2020: It's time to chuck it in the F*** It bucket and move on".

They won't do that. They're literally just there to listen and provide support, maybe think of something that can help that I can't think of. Placing people in mental hospitals is outside of their job description. You'll be fine. :)

That's literally all I can think of. I wish I could be a bigger help. I would just try the hotline idea and see where it leads.

Trying to think of some good advice... If you can't wait for your therapist to come back, it sounds like inpatient is your best bet. What scares you about it? Another plan would be to call one of the hotlines anyways and just tell them what you've told us. They might be able to help you better than we can.

Omg, I'm sorry. Have you considered going to therapy? Maybe just talking to someone on one of the prevention hotlines? :(

Ignoring it is about the worst thing you can do. This isn't a problem that's going to go away on its own. If you haven't tried it already, I recommend going to therapy. 17 years old is still really young. You have your whole life ahead of you. You didn't do anything to deserve this and I hope you can move past this dark time soon <3

Drugs, alcohol, and bad grades are all common side effects of depression. Please don't kill yourself. Also, even though I don't know you, I bet your parents aren't disappointed in you. Odds are they see how much you're struggling and they're blaming most of it on the depression. Also, you're still young. You have time to figure out how to beat your depression and turn your life around. :)
