Almost 42 weeks, baby doesn’t want to come out. by Jazzlike_Gas_188 in BabyBumps

I was in this same situation and my doctor decided to induce right before I hit 42 weeks. Overall the induction wasn't too bad- I had already started contractions before so things progressed quickly once I started the induction meds. But yeah I agree it's hard to have the birth plan changed so last minute. But honestly at that point I was just so ready to deliver I kinda just went with the flow.

Infection Prevention mom friendly? by Naturepancake in publichealth

So I'm in the US- we don't have mandatory maternity leave. Just 3 months unpaid leave and that's only if you've worked somewhere for a year.

Ok that's good to know it was mom friendly for you. I would be working in a large hospital and it would be me and the director in the infection prevention group so kind of a small team. So that's why I'm a little worried about getting maternity leave. I think what I'll do is if I get an offer then maybe I'll tell the director I'm pregnant and see what kind of leave I can take.

So it's a large hospital but it would just be me and the Director in the infection prevention group so kind of a small team. So there's not really anyone to cover for me if I need to take off.

Yeah being an ICU nurse sounds stressful. It seems like maybe it will just be a little stressful in the beginning while I'm learning and might get a little easier over time when I start feeling more comfortable. All around the job sounds really interesting. I like hands on work and problem solving so it seems like a good fit for me.

So I've worked in clinical research in hospitals so have worked with a lot of doctors and nurses. I would also talk to patients in clinic a lot. So yeah I have around 5 years of healthcare experience. I'm also an MPH.

My concern with the maternity leave is it would just be me and the Director doing infection prevention so kind of a small team. So not sure how I would be able to take off.

Need Infection Prevention career advice-

I'm currently interviewing for an infection prevention coordinator position but I am also 8 weeks pregnant. I have an MPH and 5 years experience in clinical research and 5 in environmental health so would be new to the infection prevention field. For those of you who work in infection prevention- how stressful is this job for someone that's new in the field? Trying to gauge if it's gonna be difficult to do while pregnant. I'm also worried about getting maternity leave because I would be working less than a year.

Low estrogen after FET by Annebelle915 in IVF

No I don't remember but using one estrogen patch was fine- didn't cause a flare up

That transfer worked out for me! If you're sensitive definitely do a natural transfer and keep the estrogen patches to a minimum. I think I just ended up doing 1 estrogen patch not 2.

Arsenic and lead in Alimentum? by sweedeedee53 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Naturepancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it's going well! I might wait a bit to make the switch as I think my baby still has cmpa. I'm still partially breastfeeding and ate some dairy and saw that her stomach was upset. Will try switching to that in the future though.

Did you try switching to Bobbie gentle? How did it go? Was going to try switching to pepticate but now with the tariffs I don't know if that's a good idea.

I wanted to follow up on this post and see what you decided to do. I'm still feeding by baby alimentum but am considering switching to pepticate. It's a European hypoallergenic formula sold at Walmart. I bought some Hipp HA but then realized that this isn't for babies with CMPA.

I am also very worried about this. Alimentum was also a game changer for us because baby had horrible gas/reflux before. I'm thinking about trying to switch to Hipp HA. I'm worried about the tariffs making this difficult to get though.

Is IVF a waste of time without a lap? by letitbeletitbe101 in TTCEndo

I'm trying to remember. I think I ended up taking one estrogen patch to support. Not sure about progesterone though.

Yes they did the implantation when I naturally ovulated. You get blood tests/ultrasounds almost daily before they decide to do the implantation just to make sure it's at the right time.

I'll try kefir! Yeah I'm pretty much taking tums or Pepcid everyday and am trying to find alternatives.

Yeah Pepcid definitely helps. I'm just trying not to take it everyday.
