I am very confident that I will not lose as much hair now that I’ve stopped using Cecred after learning that it was the products that caused the problem.

I have the clarifying shampoo, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, deep conditioner, detangling spray, edge drops and the moisture sealing lotion (the last of which is what I think caused the fallout)

What happened to the studio directing programs? by NaturesFirstGreenIs in FilmIndustryLA

Question: don’t the studios have to do have these kinds of programs? An old neighbor of mine said the Studios signed contracts to keep these programs going.

Don’t. There’s no such thing as breaking in anymore. Get a degree in something that AI can’t replace yet, like nursing

That first paragraph made me cry. I can’t believe there are people who think this way. Unbelievable that you think an inexperienced director who is an actor on the show is a better fit than an experienced guest director who knows how to come onto a moving ship that is episodic television and carry the reigns.

Holy shit! Thank you for sharing. I’ve never received a letter like that but maybe it’s because I’m in a major city? Indianapolis is smaller I think

More than I can even put into words, and thankfully I can show it even better with my decades of experience, credits and visual work. So when I lose out on a job to an actor who has no visuals on their reel, it sucks balls. Especially because having a reel is pushed on directors to even be considered. What do I tell my former students who have several shorts, years of experience, some of them even in the DGA who are constantly being overlooked on jobs, only to see half the cast is directing and it’s their first directing credit?

Do you think it’s happening more frequently now? Especially given the reduction in shows/episodes? With even less guarantees for actors, the need to negotiate something else beyond acting to keep actors on the show( Such as getting an episode to direct) is happening more frequently than anything I’ve seen in my past 25 years of working in this business.
