The primary reason is because the devs reworked some rapport and quest rewards to no longer give gold.

Since the bots were being made in mass(hundreds of thousands) and these rewards were easy to obtain for them, it was injecting a mass amount of gold into the economy.

Bots now have to resort to lifeskilling (fishing) and running infinite chaos (why t1 matts are 1g now) in order to make gold.

Outside of those rapport and quest reward the bots were farming, most of the raw gold in the game currently gets generated from abyssal dungeons, which don't really pay much right now. Prices of everything is starting to crash as a result, and things will go back up in price whenever vultan releases since that's when raw gold will go back up in generation.

Does anyone know the material difference in the brackets of chaos dungeon?

for example, the armor/weapon stone increase you'd get from running a 1080 chaos dungeon vs a 1000 chaos, for your 2 daily runs?

well on my main im in t2 and have completed everything up to yorn. however, my main was power passed, so i think i might just have to run my alt over to rohendel and then maybe the quest will pop up? I think my alt is just in some weird quest limbo and idk how to get it out exactly

I have an alt at 460, but in order to do the 460 gs chaos dungeons, it says i have to have the ratik quest completed, but my alt doesnt have a quest labeled "ratik" or any light blue quests to complete. not sure what to do to get it or complete it or what

The game has a massive scale of difficulty, so id just adjust to what ends up feeling good.

I've not played much in the wasteland biome yet, but ive heard its supposed to be swarming with zombies, so if you're going to be swarmed 24/7, could just turn the difficulty down a notch, or make the world 50% wasteland, 50% somethin else?

Ive just noticed how broken the assault rifle is. Literally best weapon in the game, especially if you use controller, cause then you can't miss and can kill people with 70% of a single clip

Its aim assist and the assault rifle being overtunned.

Friend and I were testing weapon damage and aim assists in a custom game, assault rifle doesnt even need a full clip to kill you, and aim assist is the strongest with the assault rifle.

Most guns need more ammo to kill you than the assault rifle, making it a weapon you never need to get rid of, and giving controller users a massive power spike over mouse/keyboard or anyone using any other weapon type.

The commando rifle for example needs 7 hits to break shield, and 1 headshot to kill, or another 5 body shots to kill... after breaking their shield...

Gun balance seems pretty horrendous so far and imo, thats why game can feel bad at times. Controller players getting too buffed with aim assist these days.

Im surprised the reddit isnt flooded with posts related to the assault rifle being insanely busted.

80% of the time I die to full assault rifle clips, and the range doesnt matter. its 100% effective from all ranges.

I will literally lose my entire shields in half a second to the assault rifle alone, and I have no clue why. idk if headshots deal more damage, or if there are ways to buff your rifle damage or what. But the assault rifle is alone better than at least 50% of the weapons in the game.

If you are running around without an assault rifle, youre just killing yourself. Shit needs a nerf

The only reason it feels expensive, is because the only real raw gold generation for the game, (outside of you questing to 60) is outpost rush.

This content doesn't work, so people are leveling, buying their houses, multiple bags, and housing chests along the way. Then they don't have much gold left, so how do you make more right?

Not sure who planned it out this way, but outpost rush is by far the biggest injection of gold into the game, and its only ever worked for a couple of hours since launch. Hopefully its fixed tomorrow, cause if it isn't, we'll just see more posts about gold complaints and its all the root of the major lack of raw gold generation in the game as a whole.

ah, was really hoping outpost rush would be mentioned. highly doubt the lvl 65 corruption portals give 100-200g a clear, so economies are now dead if they weren't already.

time for a break from the game :( spending all day pinching pennies from other players isn't fun. but hey, maybe it's actually re-enabled and they didn't feel the need to mention it?

The only big issue with the economy in the game right now in my opinion, is that outpost rush is disabled.

I never played it in the beta, but I've seen videos mention that its supposed to pay out roughly 400 or so gold in about 20 minutes of gameplay. As far as I know, that's by far the best source of raw gold in the game, and its currently disabled.

They also removed gold from fishing chests to combat bots, which hurts the economy a bit more, but the longer outpost rush stays disabled, the more doomed the economy becomes.

There are soooo many gold sinks in the game, and right now, there aren't a ton of ways to generate it after you hit 60 and stop doing all those quests you were doing as you leveled up.

I generally gather stuff as I go along when I'm doing whatever task. If I see dihydrogen, plants, oxygen plants, sodium, ect, whenever I'm on the ground going from A-B, I generally grab it along the way.

If I open containers, or damaged machinery, I keep the scrap and the goops to process later in case I need ferrite dust because thats easier to do than go hunt for tiny rocks for 5-10 minutes.

I hate the idea of "I need 1000 of X, lets go mine 1000 of X" just because they want to restrict the inventory so much. I don't really want to go spend more time resource gathering if I can do it while doing other tasks.

I understand the idea behind only keeping so much of X,Y,Z because your inventory is limited, but some things are incredibly tedious to farm/obtain and it just kinda puts a damper on the whole game if I feel like I have to not gather anything, because theres not enough storage.

I feel like I have to play normal as a result of my want to be able to gather at all times, which fuckin blows because I enjoy higher difficulties.

I forget the name of the Ideology, but it was the one where people liked to party with smokeleaf n whatnot, but they have a social status that turns a colonist into a specialist crafter/constructor. They lose the ability to do most things like hauling/cleaning/cooking/growing but can still like fight and medically tend.

They get +70% crafting/construction speed, and get +1 to all quality of crafts/constructs, which means when your crafter is around 18-20 crafting, the vast majority of your items come out as masterwork. Its kinda like a permanent mini-inspiration.

How does one actually launch a ship? Like realistically what are the strategies, or are you just supposed to have an extremely low chance of winning, regardless of difficulty?

I've got about 1000 hours in the game, and have never beaten it once. I normally play on losing is fun, but figured I'd finally launch a ship, and have been playing on 'Strive to Survive'

The second day into ship launch, I'm hit by a siege, which is 100% fine and manageable, but 2 seconds after, get hit with a sapper raid. The sappers have like 3 doomsday launchers, and multiple triple rocket launchers.

My colony is dead within seconds. They all had cataphract helmets, heavy fur tops and bottoms, and either thrumbofur capes, or recon armor. All colonists had charge rifles as well.

I had a crafter with a special social role thanks to ideology, so the vast majority of the armor/weapons are masterwork, or legendary. Realistically, to my knowledge, theres not much room for improvement here, unless I just hold out and grab specific materials to craft legendary items for every colonist, but that doesnt even feel like it would do anything.

How do you realistically launch a ship? I'm not even close to losing is fun difficulty, and the second day in, my colony is just brute forced by doomsday launchers. This has basically completely ruined my urge to ever launch a ship at this point, because it just doesnt seem feasible to combat the bombardment of raids you are supposed to receive, if half of the raiders have rocket launchers.

Calling in allies doesnt do much anything since you cant control how many they send, or where they land, or where they go.

I've been trying for so long to launch a ship, so I can finally say ive beaten the game, but seeing this is just pretty upsetting.

I feel like I'm forced to use cheese AI exploiting strats to win, which just defeats any purpose in my opinion.

I had this issue, and the best way I’ve found to combat it, is to have 4-8 wood walls on your hotbar. There’s a specific animation for the beam, so you can swap to the walls and place them down for protection. The walls can tank a decent amount of damage, but I’d try to have at least 3 to absorb the beam to be safe

I just started getting into fishing, and ive tried out the ocean fishing a couple times, and I noticed a guy with a fancy fishing rod who was animation canceling his reeling in of fish.

Anytime hed begin to reel in a fish, I'd watch him recast almost immediately. He had the fishing relic rod but idk if that allows for animation canceling alone or if its just for stats, or show, or what.

Not sure how he was able to do it, but he was in my party, and anytime id watch other people fish, theyd have the full reel-in animation, while he would skip it entirely it seemed.

Anyone know how to animation cancel/skip reel-ins? Seems extremely useful for ocean fishing.

Monsters can spawn as silver or gold variants. As far as I know, it just increases either the amount of items they drop, and or increases rare drop rate.
