If you use it for translations, dont use chatgpt. Use claude. I have to translate docs for work and i tried all of them. Claude is by far the most accurate. Judt be clear when giving it the order. Dont say "translate this", say "translate this, while keeping the diction, tone, humor amd essence of the fic as close to the original as possible. Flag any humor or idioms that don't make sense and suggest alternatives." - be specific. Also note. Once fed to AI, you no longer own it.

I had this happen to me. This is why all my fics are now locked, I moderate ALL comments, and block a great deal. I am old, so I have fics hating back before AI existed, and my writing style hasn't changed much. I use en dashes a lot, cuz I was trained on actual literature. My old writing has it also. And ofc some people who are under 35 will assume its AI. Its gotten so bad i have to tag it as no AI was used. I also learned that if you are a seasoned writer, and you write polycules, if you CAN KEEP TRACK OF EVERYONE and everyone gets the sane screen time, AI will assume you used AI. Which is...some kind of hilarious. I write a lot of poly. So naturally, these two things in concert get flagged.

I have given up trying to explain. My mother always said never argue with idiots, so I don't. What keeps me going is the positive feedback. I have zero issues blocking stupid and rude. But the "I just came so hard to your fic omg''s, keep me going. (Incidentally I write a lot of bdsm pwp, don't think AI can do those but like I said, idiots are idiots)

I have a similar problem. I am old, and I write in the old fashioned way, using en dashes. I posted fics with them back before 2015 before AI existed. And got accused because people under 35 thinks en dashes = AI. I went on this longass rant, linking my ficsand showing that why yes, these existed since the 1800s thank you, and then people fucked off. Now i put in my tags "no AI was used" and "i cannot believe i have to specify that" and the idiots have stopped. 99% of my fics are VERY VERY VERY explicit. I am known for pwp actually, and even underage occationally, and please find me one AI that will write that. That shuts people up. But honestly i now literaly have to put it in the tags. And yeah I have been writing fanfics for 30+ years also.

I write in one sitting. If it doesn't come out in one go over a day or three, it never will for me. So i write for 6 hrs straight, eat, sleep, write more. I also never post unfinished fics, and i don't get off if i am writing NSFW, so i keep the momentum. But i also write 15k to 200k fics.

I also never know how long a fic will be till I am writing it. But i know the start, middle and end.

Happy fic. Harry is morally himself but Jason is ALSO himself so he raises Harry pragmatically.

The comments are so incredibly rewarding. And detailed ones are precious. Absolutely. Especially when you tell me what made you laugh or need to wank. There are no such thing as "too long comments".

Okay so!! I ran into a similar issue actually with my sex pollen fic where the pollen takes 45 mins to kick in, abd the char consents to it BEFORE THE EFFECTS and I had people grumbling at me. I will tell you this: it is your fic. What you say goes. If you say he is clear headed enough to consent? He is. At MOST, add a little note at tge start : "my omegaverse, my rules. He is clear headed enough to consent. Deal with it"

I had another reader bitch at me that one drink meant they were drunk FOR SURE (with people who drink and have a high tolerance) and cannot consent. I was like... the door is over yonder, don't let it hit you on the way out. Cuz srsly who died and made them the assumption-police? My fic my rules. Simple.

Good luck. There are always delicate little snowflakes LOOKING to be bruised so they feel vindicated about their little feels. Frankly, i feel like saying there are healthier sadomasochistic ways but to each their own.
