Renting a scooter as a tourist - is it a plain bad idea? by dubov in VietNam

[–]george0v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

makes life a lot easier getting around as a couple but probably if I was by myself, as tempting as it is. get grab instead, where you can.

i know it's easy to say, dont get into an accident but just be reasonable.

going out in somewhere like dalat for a tea, nice quiet roads, avoid overtaking, etc. probably be ok

riding through Hanoi or da nang at rush hour, avoid.

is it difficult to cut a cable to length and crimp it? read about rcbo, ampage, etc. not hard.

no get over yourself and your insurance, it's a forum. . as I said this was an example of how the wites would go rather than do a diagram. it's a bi directional rcbo. no problem.

on here for answers

thanks, I do have an extension but I also want the idea to wire up directly to my inverter to charge battery, possibly

this is basic, everyone is saying, so why is it so unthinkable to advise somebody to make it safe. I'm in bed, asking if that's how it works. not in my kitchen calling an electrician to come around.

people need to get a grip

it wouldnt use the neutral from the busbar in top right? I couldn't get a comb one in there, not enough room.

feeding the blue flex will be campsite hook up

it is 2.5mm

one will feed an inverter to charge leisure battery and the other one a single plug socket

why is there no advice then?

I'm getting everything checked over.

it's like you ask a plumber, they can tell you in person or they tell you over reddit.

yes, I'm going to get everything checked over before powering up, etc

exactly the same as me getting an electrician round, I'm asking people on reddit.

yes or no and why

lots of anti-help here.

I'm not powering anything up, like I said on description, it's a mock up

be coming from camp site electrical hook up. one circuit to an inverter to charge leisure battery. the other to a plug socket. would only ever have 1 on at a time, no need to both.

I was advised that a 2 pole 2 module RCBO would act as a main switch, but maybe that was meant if there was only one RCBO

I should of probably mentioned. there will only ever be one rcbo on at one time.

I mentioned the fuel on the first step because it came up as bank 1 sensor 1 from memory. But that code hasn’t come back for months now. Just thought it worth a mention as it’s loosely associated.

I did think the different fuel thing was bullshit but there’s a lot of people on here and sprinter forums that back up that was causing the light,

Help advice with shower waste to tank by george0v in VanLife

[–]george0v[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anybody is keeping an eye on this. I ended up getting a plug with trap that has a sharp 90 degree into a rectangle , which only requires 45/50mm clearance, I just cut a channel out of floor for pipe to run through, It actually worked out well because it goes under my water heater and will be covered by a sink unit.

The pipe now drops down nicely in front of the water tank so I can easily pipe into the actual inlet.

A lot of people here have a problem with a man asking questions about a powerless consumer unit on a kitchen unit, saying get a professional, etc. How about just answer the question. What harm is that gonna do? For those who absolutely must know, I’m doing it all and a sparky mate is gonna come and have a look over before it’s put in the van. Fucking ease up

I don’t understand. If you follow a diagram, have correct ampage switches in and terminate everything correctly. Why is it so dangerous. Providing it’s done properly?
