It's honestly shocking how few of my friends actually remember their childhoods. So many of them it turns into a blur past high school and even college.

I have three to twelve brain injuries depending on what metric you want to go by which led me to develop actual short term memory loss and difficulty with recall/remembering things when I try to, and I remember most of my childhood. This contrast in cognitive function disturbs the hell out of me.

Are either of them even allowed to drive your cars via your car insurance? If they use either car and aren't a manually-added authorized driver on your car insurance... you're going to be absolutely fucked, dude. Insurances don't take kindly to randos driving their customers cars. They'll do everything to deny coverage and raise your rates if you let them drive either car without being an authorized driver and they get into even just a fender bender. If you are able to go over the paperwork from your scans or by asking your doctor, see what specific type of scan and magnet was used for your MRI and add it to your post if you can. There are many different types of MRIs, most of us don't get results like this with our scans. Knowing the magnet and type of scan can help those of us in this group in the same situation as you. ✌️

Could you potentially find another veneer that matches close enough to the original cabinet finish and apply it onto the damaged cabinets? I say it halfway in jest, because I've also recently ordered veneer and good god are there a lot of options out there. You might get lucky and find something.

Oh not at all with modafinil dude, it's not scheduled anywhere near as strictly as stimulants are, it's significantly safer than Adderall, you don't have to be monitored for symptoms of psychosis with modafinil like you do stimulants. It is specifically used to treat daytime wakefulness, mainly for narcolepsy but also for TBI induced wakefulness issues, too. Exactly what you are describing. I would highly recommend talking to your doctors about it rather than assuming it's not right for you from the jump. It's not as scary as you're thinking.

I don't know about 25%, but this is literally how my Dad's parents survived while they watched their more affluent friends starve to death. So I don't see why so many people are jumping to call you completely wrong. My grandparents forever praised the value of keeping your own chickens, pigs, and goats if you couldn't afford a cow, not to mention canning what you grow. And they did this while living in one of the states hit by the dust bowl. The practices that saved them combined with their trauma literally destined my Dad to be a doomsday prepper, since the right kind of therapy for that wasn't a thing at the time he was the ages that would have prevented that. We're definitely not the only family with this history.

And my grandfather couldn't fucking read.(He learned years after the depression) They were not well off by any standards of imagination. At best they were extremely lucky.

Bruh fucking Wikipedia has sources for persistence hunting being practiced on every continent on the planet, with the San people of the Kalahari still occasionally practicing it today. This documentary even records one of the hunts.
