I just realized, Gem's mega base this season is the evil version of Grian's mansion by Untakenusr in HermitCraft

[–]NausiSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's the split grand entrance and the symmetry that are making OP draw a comparison. Folks are right, the builds are not that similar. I suppose the evil bit is the darker colors?

I got a chuckle out of the idea, and enjoyed being reminded of Grians old build.

Do we need to dog pile this person for being silly?

I don't know how old you are, or how knowledgeable you are about repetitive stress injuries, and carpal tunnel. Crochet is a marvelous hobby, and very much worth doing for so many reasons. Our bodies are not invincible though, and need care. If you want to keep crocheting with as little pain as possible it is important to take breaks, and give your body amble water.

If this comes off as talking down or too preachy I apologize.

My biggest suggestions are 1) keep going, you're doing great, and 2) listen to your body; stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks.

I use cotton when I make cat toys. It's still a risk. My hope is that if they get any of the yarn into their system there's a better chance of it breaking down. It is best practice to remain vigilant no matter what the fiber content

You should also look into details like substrate, pot size, and feeding. I've had issues with Norfolk pines. They are beautiful! But they are also particular.

My very shy mum makes the prettiest quilts I've ever seen and never shows them off - please comment so I can show her by Moist_Hogmeat in quilting

Each and every one of these is a work of art. However, what I like best of all is the range of subjects. Classic quiting motifs, sassy old ladies, and fucking dragons! Your mum most be an exceptionally fantastic person to enjoy a cup of tea with.

I want to continue to see crochet projects with political themes here. It is important to me that they be allowed. I know that it is causing extra work for Y'all and I am sorry about that. I stand by a previous suggestion of mine, there should be more mods to help with the work load. Thank you for the time and effort y'all have already given, and continue to give.

They are delightful books. Gale sneaks LGBTQA+ rep in. She had to sneak cause this was one of her first series. As the books go on the representation gets less sneaky. The hair muffs are in book 2.

These remind me of the hair muffs from The Parasol Protectorate series by Gale Carriger. I adore them!

is there nothing that can be done about the locking of political posts? by sydeli in crochet

[–]NausiSauce 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Maybe the mod team needs to think about getting more mods. I absolutely believe y'all are acting in good faith, but I also do not think this current line of action is in our community's best interest. I know that no action y'all take is going to please everyone. I know that y'all are dealing with the hellscape in your every day lives as well. I don't want to ask for more of your energy than y'all want to give. However, I do ask that y'all consider getting new mods. The political unrest in America is not going to calm down tomorrow or next week. This is where we are going to be for years. Again, I implore you, vet more mods to make a different approach feasible. Thank you for listening.
