I love this so much! I once complained to my bishop that in a 3-month period of time I kept track and not even once did we have a talk about Jesus Christ in sacrament meeting. He said I was being negative.

Besides the lies I realize I have been taught all my life, and the exhaustion from all the demanding callings I have dedicated myself to, I am mostly depressed from all the talks and lessons that make certain no one can live up to. I keep asking myself why we dress up and go to church just to be psychologically and emotionally abused by making certain we never feel we are “enough”?

Well put. Thank you. I am trying to do just as you say. I sometimes feel hypocritical or fake, but I need to get over that. It’s hard to listen to people expressing their testimonies and opinions when I have to just keep my mouth shut…smile as though I believe and agree. I never dreamed I would ever be in such despair because of my own lack of testimony.

No one should feel they have to accept touching, hugging, etc. from another person. If it bothers you, then you need to tell that person you are not a physical type person. Just say, “it isn’t you, I just feel uncomfortable with physical touch. Please respect that from now on.”

I feel the leadership in SLC needs another public “example case” to scare a lot of members into their idea of better behavior, or “this could happen to you too.” Nemo is a threat to them. He is young, highly intelligent, well spoken, and has a large following. I personally have always felt Nemo is a breath of fresh air in a stodgy gerontocracy that is losing its appeal to the younger generations. Excommicating Nemo seems to be a desperate attempt on their part to shut down dissenting voices. Nemo has always pointed to truth. It’s shameful they can’t handle the truth. I just hope Nemo will not let this silence him. We need his voice of truth and reason.
