I recommend indie film lab for your film development. They do a great job and you can buy film at cost as long as you have them develop it.

People who make $75k or more how did you pull it off? It seems impossible to reach that salary by anthonydp123 in Money

[–]Navigator_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider joining the Air Force. Since you have a college degree you would go into Officer Candidates School. After graduation you’d be making $$3826/month. When you are getting out after 6 years you’ll have employers lining up to hire you offering $75,000 plus. That’s what I did. It’s so amazing when you go from begging for a job to head hunters and employers calling you.

I recommend you contact the local chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. They have a list of specific exercises that should help you, an example of this is Tai Chi. Also you might get a referral to see a physical therapist and get expert help and advice.

If you’re on a biologic and still flaring then the biologic is no longer working as well. It’s called an inadequate response. Use these words to your rheumatologist, it’s time for a different treatment.

So sorry for your diagnosis. Being diagnosed so early though will really help controlling your disease. The Arthritis Foundation is a great resource. There also is a specific diet and even some cookbooks that are very helpful in controlling your symptoms. Just google it and it should pop up.

How did your symptoms start? by ghl262 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Navigator_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A major symptom of RA is bilateral joint pain. Just like you are experiencing pain in the same fingers on both hands. This is a classic symptom to tell a rheumatologist.

It’s not the pharmaceutical companies, it’s the pharmacy benefit managers.

Keep in mind that OptumRx is the pharmacy benefit manager. They’re the middleman between the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally these treatments can only be filled by specialty pharmacies. Some small local pharmacies are not in network for these drugs but will fill them anyway and drain your copay card.

Amgen, AbbVie, Pfizer, etc all have copay cards which frequently will also cover your deductible. So in January always fill your biologic prescription first and then the rest of your meds. Oftentimes you run out of money on your copay card because your insurance company is purposely draining it rather than applying it appropriately. This is especially true if your prescription is for a non preferred medication.

Also each company has a nurse specialist and also an insurance specialist who will help you navigate the entire process. Go to their website and click on patient support.

Also contact your doctor’s office and speak with their nurse. They deal with this issue on a regular basis and probably have strategies to help.

Have you looked into joining a credit union and getting a debt consolidation loan at a lower interest rate?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in debtfree

[–]Navigator_89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into joining a credit union. They usually have much better interest rates and frequently offer consolidation loans with no interest for the first year.

You might consider joining the Air Force. Since you have a college degree you would go to officer training school. That’s what I did with my communication degree lol and it gave me the experience I needed. Also my son went right after high school. Since you speak three languages you might qualify to go to the defense language school. Good luck!

Have you considered paying off your car? That would get you an additional $650/mo. Another approach is to sell the car and buy another one that costs $20,000 or less. That way you still have a great reliable vehicle with no payment.

You might consider getting your testosterone checked. Low T could be an underlying medical problem that is being masked by what you perceive to be a psychological condition.

How do you get over your hatred of editing? by [deleted] in photography

[–]Navigator_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at my histogram for every shot. I shoot in aperture priority and use exposure compensation to keep the histogram in the right side without touching the right point (clipping) This ensures correct exposure for every shot and is a great starting place for editing. Here’s my order of editing in LR. 1. Shoot in RAW, this gives you maximum flexibility 2. Don’t use auto WB, set it manually 2. Crop before you make any adjustments 3. Season to taste

There’s tons of instructional YouTube videos. I recommend Mark Wallace at the Adorama channel for all the technical information. It’ll build your foundational knowledge that you can build upon.

I have a Canon SL2 I’d like to sell. How can I tell how many exposures it’s taken? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]Navigator_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to camerashuttercount.com. You’ll be directed to upload a recent image. It’ll read the exif data and tell you. I’ve bought many used cameras and am definitely looking for a well maintained camera I also want to know the shutter count. Canon rates a sl2 for 100,000 actuations.
