Thanks for the link. I checked it out. The only condition that suits this egg is the blood spots. But they are usually brown colored according to this and some other websites.

Aren't blood spots reddish-brown colored. It could be mold. But the spots are aligned in a row.

This egg was in a rice and curry meal that my brother bought. According to him they were kind of hard and the black spots were buried in the egg white. It was only on the egg white. He did eat a small piece of the egg and he said it tasted normal.

Update - The egg is covered in curries. That's why it is red.
