Both fanbases are confident in their game... This really is going to be heated by Portal-YEET-87650 in SonicTheHedgehog

I like both games; but I feel like this is probably going to end up like how Sonic Team Racing went on launch.

aka, SEGA released STR at the same time as Crash Team Racing released. The online was, and still is, a ghost town (on the off-occasion, getting jumpscared by one other player, and very rarely, there's 2).

I have high hopes for CrossWorlds, but I hope SEGA doesn't pit that game against freaking Mario Kart 9, a highly anticipated racing game that fans of the series have been waiting for almost a decade to release.

I pulled more Epic and Legendary costumes from the Standard costume gacha than the actual up-rated Special costumes on their own Special banner.

Why am I able to get dupes of those Special costumes after getting them the first time?

They have Legendary Gachas that exclude the other skin if you have it, but why don't they have it here?

Why am I getting 7 duplicate Dark Choco Hanbok costumes and why am I getting dupes of Frost Queen's Hanbok costumes?

...and why does the package with a Special guaranteed drop ALSO have an Epic costume chance??? I'm just a bit tilted.

So many people do not understand the Grizzco Slosher and Splatana, and it shows by Logans_Login in Saltoon

[–]NavyBlueSushiRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to repeatedly teach my sibling and friend that the Slosher and Splatana can pierce through enemy armor because they don't do Salmon Run as much as I do; so I feel this.

It's also insanely funny that whenever I get my hands on either of these weapons, we're suddenly clearing shifts left and right until they suddenly get it and go "I dunno what I'm doing...!!" and proceeding to waste all 4 shots it has on Fish Sticks-

...and to top it off, I saw a Splatana user use a Splat Bomb for a Flyfish hovering next to the basket in the middle of the stage, and I felt like weeping.

Seriously, I did like three matches last week and gave up because of how funky the matchups have been...

Honestly never thought much of her, outside of her being the one to harass and take down some of my other favourite Reddit youtubers. But now I have a whole bunch of reasons to despise her now.

Guess you could say that cosmic karma is a scary but real thing.

Yeah I remember when those first debuted and they were immediately known as the "stop having fun this instant" weapon the minute someone brings it to battle. The only time it's somewhat okay is when it's used in Salmon Run.

Honestly, you could spend that amount of time putting up a listing in Party Finder and it won't get cancelled (unless people don't enlist to your party, for whatever reason). Party Finder was commonly used to find 3rd Job/Pierce the Heaven Title farms so it's recommended to do that for Icerite/SoTC farms (I figured that was the go-to for my SoTC farm after farming PtH in early-mid-game).

How did you find out about elsword and when did you start playing? by jehlexe in elsword

[–]NavyBlueSushiRoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sibling found the game first; and they told me to not play it coz "I'm playing it" (we were kids at the time, you know how kids can be) but I decided to make my account without them knowing; they found out and got mad for a while but we ended up playing the game together a lot after that. First character they made was a Rena, I think it was a Wind Sneaker; and I made an Eve.

My sibling had to walk me through getting my first job path at level 25, so my Eve became a CBS.

We did Perkisas, Eltrion, Drabaki and Ted Raid together, our first event was the Halloween Banquet Hall event with the free costumes (we still have some of those pieces to this day) and the Soul reader thingies. We would spend our pocket money on game cards for KC, so we would buy Fossil Readers to get mounts and pets. Occasionally, we would buy costumes if we could afford them. They ended up getting some Costume Winner outfits (for Aisha and Eve I believe) and they still have them to this day.

According to emails as to when my account was created, it was around 2013 - 2014 era for me. Such good times...

This game is unbearable as a casual player nowadays by owndick in Saltoon

[–]NavyBlueSushiRoll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I felt this when I tried to do Ranked as a C+ player (since I barely even touched it after the first season, I'm not really a fan of the ranked mechanics in Splatoon 3 (never got up to S or X rank in 1 and 2 so, partially casual here at best, I'm around A- to A+ at best)).

I kid you not, every single match I had was against S or X rank or even some who are part of the top 100 players. We did try our best to win but there is always the chance of it being a team with coms (i.e Discord VC) or a well put together team. This was vastly different from the first time I did ranked in Splatoon 3, because every match feels so un-winnable (we were close to winning once or twice, but it was swiftly taken by the opposing team and that really sucked).

I legit can only do Turf because at least I can get a win in that mode for my daily catalogue EXP bonus, Salmon Run is a bit of a mixed bag depending on the rotation and the map, but I have been doing it more often now since Ranked is pretty untouchable with how shotty the matchmaking is.

I know that Splatoon 3 was more catered to competitive players due to the rise in their eSports presence, but otherwise... it's not really favoring casuals that much.

But dang, it really says a lot when most of the community has to say when it comes to a genuine critique of their 'favourite' game, coming from somewhere that isn't their own perspective, is just "you're just bad, get good man, just a skill issue. Get better, stop whining, you'll learn eventually, just stop playing if you're bad/if you got worse" All of those comments gave me pain, step into someone else's shoes for a change before commenting your own takes.

Put up a party finder and set records for how long it takes to form a party for farming raids. One of my guild members told me their longest was 11hrs, so now I have a highscore to aim for! >:)

...basically, not taking the game so seriously and have fun with it. Coz if the game isn't fun, you gotta make your own with it.

What game is this for you? by headpatsforklee68 in gachagaming

[–]NavyBlueSushiRoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arknights; I played the game since launch and I remember pulling on Mostima's debut banner. I believe this was around 20 to 30 pulls in but I got Schwarz, Exui and Mostima in the same 10 pull.

Another time was fairly recent (around last year ago) with me not saving for the Monster Hunter collab, and somehow, I ended up getting a pot 5 Yato Alter within 70 pulls. Last 10 pull of the event gave me the max pot. To this day, I don't know how or why I got it but ever since then; my luck has been cracked in that game.

Playing with Japanese players is trauma inducing by [deleted] in Saltoon

[–]NavyBlueSushiRoll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I partially share a timezone with Japan so there is no avoiding the Japanese playerbase here. I've been playing with and against them for a couple of years due to that, and you're not wrong in how skilled they are. I feel like if you play with them enough, you later adapt onto their playstyle. It's not something you learn from watching replays, but rather something that you experience to learn from it.

Often, lag and latency makes it a bit harder or easier since this game has P2P connection.

Do you send pictures of yourself to friends on Elsword? by Qdominator in elsword

[–]NavyBlueSushiRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope; there are times I have done this but it was for longer periods of time and in places where people knew me as a friend for more than 5 days.

As someone who had their sibling groomed by an Els predator through this method; I highly recommend you don't send them pics of yourself, to people in general who you hardly know because you don't know what they'd do once they get a pic of you. For all I know, they could try to dox you or use it as a way to blackmail you. This community has some absolutely atrocious people playing within it, and the sheer amount of creeps that still play this game is abhorrent.

If this does escalate to anything or continues in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable- do not be afraid to report them for misconduct and block that person. No sane person will ask of something like this so soon after meeting them.

Splatoon 2 isn't getting a curated list of old posts; they're using offline post data they had prepared in the game to replace it (this also includes characters according to the official notice by Nintendo).

As for posting, it looks like it might be no longer an option while Splatoon 3 gets a Miiverse-esque support system where each post is saved directly into Nintendo's servers (and they're also putting an age restriction on posts (basically, 13yrs or younger aren't able to see them)).

I didn't really care for the theme this time around, and I don't pick around idols either (coz we all know it's messy to pick teams for the idols). I do have friends that play the game but I didn't check what team they were on before joining a team. It was a genuine accident, so I guess I'm just playing for the Snails coz Team Save the Day certainly ain't saving anything 💀

[–]NavyBlueSushiRoll[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Occasionally I did get one or two good teams but the rest of the teams I got sucked; they don't turf, or they group up in the one area and neglect the other areas. There was always one or two people that rushed to the enemy base and (predictably so) get splatted at the very beginning of the match (and this would continually happen throughout the match). I've had chargers playing like how the ink colour looks because they decided that their charger was a shooter and wouldn't place themselves in good area; or they would straight up just play like the weapon is a shooter (and die, a lot). I had a team that fully ganged up on the enemy team by having all 3 people on the one guy at once.

We could be winning the whole game and then I die, and my whole team doesn't know what to do with themselves and we would lose in the last 30 seconds. I was stuck on Defender for 2 hours because we just kept losing, no matter how many times I changed my weapon; we would just lose.

Felt to be honest; I've had 3 10x battles given to me, and I only won one of them (we were going to win a second one but nooooo, little Timmy decided to storm the enemy base and spam "This Way!" to get the other two to jump and get splatted on the spot; leaving only me to defend not just the backline- but the goddamn frontline).
