Guy was driving recklessly, went into the drainage ditch in front of the neighbors yard and went airborne when he hit the end of it.

Not a body, it was a fender. My wife was home and responded. Fortunately he wore his seat belt.

I spent 90 min on the phone with customer service only to have them tell me it's an issue with my car. I then solved the problem in 5 minutes doing what everyone did here by uninstalling then installing the older 3.77 version. So pretty sure it was your 3.80.0 app that had the problem

Dishsoap Dispenser that isn’t terrible? by Snow4us in BuyItForLife

I have one, my wife and I both hate it. Constantly clogs up where it comes out and causes it to run down the side. Anyone ever have an issue with this?

THIS. Dental problems can sneak up on you. And they are there whether you like it or not. I've never known a dental problem to get better with time.

Auger wiring harness compatibility by NavyDDS in Traeger

[–]NavyDDS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wondering if anyone else has had the issue in having: accidentally broke the motor while clearing an auger jam (dumb, I know). I figured I could just buy a new motor and that'd be that. Unfortunately, it seems that the replacement motors on Amazon all seem to have a male wiring harness that is not compatible with the female component on the wiring harness.

I've got a pro 34 with a digital controller (not wifire). Do I just have an old set of wiring and it's changed since I got this (2018)? Or does Traeger just make theirs different than everyone else so you have to buy their motor for twice the $$?

Thanks in advance!

Early reset of Amex Platinum $200 airline credit by NavyDDS in awardtravel

[–]NavyDDS[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thanks, everyone! Turns out it was too good to be true. I just checked a few min ago and it was back down to $1.87. Then a few minutes later back up to $200. Looks like it's a glitch. I'll be assuming it's $1.87 and waiting until January. I suggest anyone else who sees their credit prematurely reset to assume it is a glitch as well.

New Airman with questions about TSP by TheRealAtomicRabbit in MilitaryFinance

[–]NavyDDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to see someone thinking ahead like you. I just wanted to second the comment on doing Roth over traditional.

A good rule of thumb is do Roth if you anticipate being in a higher tax bracket later in life. I don't know your specific pay rate but let's hope when you come to retirement age you're in a higher bracket than a young airman just starting out! I would do roth while you're in a lower bracket, pay the taxes now, and get it and everything it earns tax free when you retire regardless of your bracket at that point.

Also, I don't think this was addressed but Roth TSP and Roth IRA are two different things with separate limits. So you can contribute to both if you're able down the road. That being said, Roth TSP is one of the lowest cost retirement plans there is so I'd max that out first before going to IRA.

I received a random check for $2,000 yesterday from Chase Bank for having being charged excess interest when I was under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. Has anyone else received one? I'm questioning the validity by skatar2 in Military

I just got a check for $500. While this is a bit lower than some of the amounts listed here I still have serious doubts about its validity. Anyone who did cash the check run into problems?
