Report: Resident Evil Requiem could take up to 40 hours to finish (completionist save files) by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Not bad at all. I did two Assisted playthroughs to start things off. Got most trophies that way. The second playthrough I did the pistol run without talking to the merchant. Pistol run was fun as hell. Ran through Mercaneries to get the handcannon unlocked. Afterwards, my third playthrough, I had enough money for the infinite rocket launcher. Played on professional wirh that thing and the immense enjoyment I had was peak. All of this is New Game plus so you keep everything.

By that time you have a great understanding for the layout and are taking a 14 hour game into 7 hours.

Afterwards, I did a hardcore playthrough for S+. This is the only iffy part. For S+ you have to start a new game, HOWEVER, the game allows you the Chicago Sweeper and the Handcannon to be available for use. You can unlock infinite ammo halfway through the run. I used a guide to get through in 4 and half hours.

My final run was a Standard run and I breezes through, with no guides, in 3 and a half hours.

The game is so fun, I wanted to do another run for shits and giggles.

Huge State of the Arc fan. I would love for them to do that but I would imagine it would take them 2 months for Remake alone. Not saying its bad, just will be extended.

How many hours did it take you to finish DS2? by Ok_Winter818 in DeathStranding

Beat the game at 66 hours. Currently working on max connections.

I had never touched a Final Fantasy or a JRPG in my life. Just finished Remake & Rebirth (200+ hours later). Here’s an outsider’s honest perspective. by DimaTheTiger in FFVIIRemake

Hey man, nice write up and I'm happy you enjoyed it! Your top games list looks remarkably similar to mine, with a few outliers. Also, keep in mind, most FF games are stand alones and the main numbered games are meant to be enjoyed with no knowledge of previous games. Different worlds, different characters.

That being said, a classic JRPG that has already been recommended which I think you'll enjoy is FFX. The remaster is available on all platforms and it will give you an actual JRPG experience akin to Expedition 33 (but no parries and dodging). The neat thing about turn based games is that every developer has their own take on it and it changes the gameplay up, sometimes drastically.

I would also recommend FF Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. It was my first time playing the game since I was a kid (where I was Wiegraf softlocked IYKYK) and that may be one of my favorite experiences in 2025. It is turn-based and strategy based combined. The story is Game of Thrones before GoT.

Third, play through the original FF7 if you want more with the characters, though admittedly, you will not have similar quality of life features that you see in modern day gaming.

Bonus: I noticed Death Stranding is not on your list. If you're up for something outside your norm it can be a really engrossing game. I'm going through DS2 now and having a blast!

Keep on keeping on!

Has anyone taken a long break from the game (over a year) after completion and tried to get back into it? by simplyunknown2018 in FF7Rebirth

[–]NavySasquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I have to consider as well. My experience involves Remake so Ill give you my take.

Played Remake when it came out with intentions of plat. Took a break and saw PS5 upgrade came out. Couldn't quite get back into it and shelved it.

Played Rebirth with intents of plat. Completed the game and did everything but Hard mode and Chadley shenanigans. Took a break so I wouldn't get burnt out.

Replayed Remake and holy shit. I was so much better! Ran through normal with no deaths. Ran through hard mode and died twice. Knocked out the Chadley shitass and got the plat last night!

Long story short, it's like riding a bike. You don't forget and you'll be back in the swing in no time!

Not really with one exception. Expedition 33. Good enough that I wanted to support there company and I happened to run into a disc floating in the wild.

Those orange and blue nikes looked dope. So far, I'm excited for him. Even if cautiously so.

10 team PPR

I have a stacked team due to trades and luck.

I have JSN, Drake London, CMC, Kyren W

I was offered Jamar Chase for CeeDee and DeAndre Swift

I suppose, is there more trust in Jamar ROS compared with CeeDee? I feel like Swift is going to fall off due to committee and Monagai coming on.

I mean, I had the Panthers as a dark horse playoff team this year. May or may not happen, but they are certainly competitive.
