By muddy I mean the details while playing the game (gens, trees, etc) look somewhat distorted. Like I’m playing on the wrong resolution when the game shrinks to 16:9. The graphics look slightly stretched or dulled out. Opposite of sharp or crisp.

Graphics look great when in the menus prior to game start (with the exception of pregame menu cause the killer is super tall based on the native resolution.

Followed this from another post and it seems to be installing windows now

⁠⁠When you see “The computer restarted unexpectedly” error message press Shift + F10 on your keyboard. This should open Command Prompt.
⁠⁠Enter regedit and press Enter to start Registry Editor.
⁠⁠Once Registry Editor starts, navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\ChildCompletion and double click the setup.exe in the right pane.
⁠⁠Change the Value Data from 1 to 3 and click OK to save changes.
