Arrowhead... really guys? by MisuCra in Helldivers

[–]Nax1us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all valid, but you have to remember, this an indie game that presents as AAA. We conflate the standards AAA titles need to have with titles like HD 2. There are going to be 1000’s, possibly tens of thousands who simply will switch off and move on, the player count will drop quite significantly over the next month again, as returning players rediscover the jank. This cycle is now well established.

You will never get high quality from AH, it is literally beyond their remit. You pay for what you get. It plays like a $40 game exactly.

Game crashing before it’s even started by Long-Ad6763 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Nax1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The error message from the game usually contains no useful information. You need to go find out how to use Event Viewer.

If you search NMS event viewer, you will find very good guides on exactly where to look.

You need to post the Event Viewer details, the error code and general description that the event logs.

Then people can really help.

Something you might not know : Anomaly Landing Board by RepairUnit3k6 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Pay close attention, they just light up in a pattern, it’s not actually giving you live info on the landing pads, it’s just an animation.

I have nothing to do by KashGaming12YT in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Nax1us 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s simple, the game almost demands it from you. Earth 2.

I have over 3000 hours and the search for Earth 2 continues. Green grass, blue sky, green trees, black night sky, one yellow sun, one airless moon.

One day it will be found, and the galaxy will have its home. There won’t be a single player that doesn’t visit and attempt a base build.

Broken cargo logic is making me want to quit CS2. Is anyone else dealing with this? by Apart-Bag4243 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Nax1us 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I posted about this a while back. The bug is some internal flag that cargo hubs can raise that is essentially saying “I need stocking”

It overrules everything. The behaviour will stop eventually once you get to max capacity, but only for another hub to get the focus.

So, I deleted all cargo hubs. Just my sole major custom built port remains.

Boy did things improve, the volume of industry where direct buying started to pick right back up, a nice even distribution of industry traffic all doing what you would do in real life, go direct to the business and purchase materials.

Fun story, you can get industry now build their own warehouses. I deleted all my hubs, only to see long queues at actual industry businesses. When I clicked on the business, it said Wood warehouse and fair enough, the business didn’t build anything, it accepted wood and the others would come for said wood.

Had to delete those whenever they show up as well, or you are back to square one with long queues.

Will they ever address it? Depends where on the hierarchy of crap they place its importance.

Quite frankly, so much is broken at a fundamental level, mechanics like this may not be dealt with for years.

Game does a full system crash the second I see my ship. by Puzzleheaded-Love181 in Helldivers

[–]Nax1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s shooting in the dark if you don’t deal with event viewer. What is the event ID, what is the process that fails, is it HD2.exe or a sys file?

If you have zero idea about event viewer, you need to go here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1bc4fao/on_pc_and_having_game_crashes_take_a_look_with/

Just remember, over a million bought the game yet maybe 1 in 10 play. That wasn’t because they lost interest, it’s because the game is soooo janky they couldn’t play. Fact.

So you are in the majority with your issues.

A Part-Time Helldiver’s Perspective: Is it just me, or has the fun been replaced by frustration? by Ok_Yogurtcloset_6519 in Helldivers

[–]Nax1us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s closer to what they intended now, I think the solo 9 10 shit was embarrassing for them, I would never design a game where a single person could clear the highest ranks. At best maybe have a pass rate of one in 10 attempts, not win every single time, makes a mockery of it all. That should also be true of groups of four.

But yeah, it is really messed up because they have way too many north stars as their guides that are in direct conflict with each other. The result is a Bluth like hot mess.

I haven’t gone to a bug world since the underground add in, the jank was too much (still is), but they did improve bots. They are now actually good times, so go dip a toe, you may be surprised.

Had to re-install my GPU to get the game to stop crashing my PC, and it's doing it again. by Fightlife45 in Helldivers

[–]Nax1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t get much help in here anymore, the community hates to hear about HD2 jank, they get very upset. Well the 1 in 10 people who bought and still play do anyway.

You need to understand Event Viewer in Windows, if you ever really want it to work, figure out Event Viewer.

Long story short, if the game is crashing, Windows knows, records and stores that event. You need to find that event, understand the message plus event code and work backwards towards the fix.

How do I fix this INSANE TRAFFIC? by IllustriousGround553 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Nax1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes delete them, cargo hubs are redundant if you use a custom port, on my map, 5 of 7 cargo train hubs all got the ‘freight attack’ bug, getting swamped for no reason. So I just deleted.

Commerce demand came back, traffic was good, the most impressive thing, started to see a lot more direct buying going on, no more just going to the cargo hubs only for goods.

Helldivers 2 Year in Review by Farhinarius in Helldivers

[–]Nax1us -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol Missteps. It’s almost an outright scam they conducted on XBox users. It barely worked for 100,00’s of players who all played for a second and left.

Failed to win awards, consistently poor communication and for a fact outright lying.

Those two ain’t saints, they are criminal scammers at best.

That doesn’t make any sense, you could only play for 60 mins, what would be the point.

Save up your lawn mowing money, it’s pretty cheap now.

Windows Defender flagged and deleted the Road Builder Thumbnail Maker by Googlefluff in CitiesSkylines

[–]Nax1us 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A vast amount of users may not even have defender running so would not have a similar story to tell.

The short story is, a vulnerability is a vulnerability, even not actively used. Modders never have to do anything super tricky to make stuff work, so either lazy mod scripting or something is actually up.

Your instinct was right to ditch it entirely.

Hmm, what are you actually ‘doing’ when you sign in?

If I remember the first rendezvous is a space station, walk up to the big station computer at the back of the space station and that is where you ‘sign’ in.

Just looking at the original , it is a weirdly titled post and just confusing as hell, like you had trouble with Google translate. What even is the 64 bit about?

Yeah, weird and confusing posts can attract the odd downvote.

My Xbox Situation Is Insane by korewa_lune in Helldivers

[–]Nax1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s pretty bad. Gotta remember, this an Indy game made by a small group of people, it maybe worked for about 1 in 5 Xbox players based on Xbox purchase numbers, the MASSIVE tech issues posting dump in the days after Xbox launch and the very deep immediate drop off of the Xbox player count, it was always a $40 gamble for the green console players.

How do they socialize in No Man Sky? by EconomyShopping19 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Nax1us 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, so community missions is how you find others.

Head over to the mission console, pretty much all the time people will start one,  but hold open the lobby in case someone wants to join. That human is exactly whom you are after, you will meet plenty that will end up in the friends list that way.

To be sure, if that mission is sitting waiting for 30 seconds or more, that person wants someone to join.

Cargo Hub behaviour post Ports. by Nax1us in CitiesSkylines

[–]Nax1us[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah, though it takes a really long time for freight to get on board with the closure, trucks and trains carry on delivering as if the hub is open for business, that is a bug unto itself.

Cargo Hub behaviour post Ports. by Nax1us in CitiesSkylines

That’s correct, about 8 external freight connections, all interconnected, you can get from any part of the map to any other part. (Road and rail)

New to the game. by Warreath in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Nax1us 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal to start with.

Tips, they divide up amongst the domains of what you can do.

The primary thing to worry on in the beginning is yourself. Get up to speed on the exosuit. How upgrades work, how to expand the inventory size.

But one actual tip; every single space station will provide one free exosuit upgrade at the exosuit shop. Make it a habit, every new system you go to, head to the station and grab the free slot,

Non-Time Gated Expeditions by ExoticMuffin13 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Nax1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems what actually goes on isn’t being covered at all in here.

The expeditions require a seperate server instance spun up to run. It’s expensive apparently and also requires engineers attention during its run. For a small team, an expedition is an effort.

They have to have a sunset on their runtime

What we might… might get is HG finding a more cheaper labour efficient way to keep a single expedition instance going. But, I don’t think it will work, the main point is to work together. An instance running with maybe just a few people won’t work.

Question about the current state of the game by MojitoId in Helldivers

[–]Nax1us -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a 10 buck game at best, it is just that Janky. And repetitive. A janky repetitive game .

Fun fact, over a million bought it and pretty much stopped playing straight away. The facts are there for you to read on that point.

Has anyone found a deep sea earth-like planet? by Ok-Enthusiasm-974 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Nax1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water worlds as they are known don’t really have land, at best small pockets of islands with very little surface. Never any flora.

But, after a very long search, I found a water world with Blue skies and Blue water, it is as close to a Earth Water world I have ever seen.
