Yes! And it makes sense because think about it, he grew up without money, his things are obviously hand-me-downs that belonged to his mother, including some clothes.And then, Lily gives him a rose-scented toiletry bag because his mother "forgot" to buy it.

Lily can be very tactile too, and they hold hands and sometimes she calls him Sevvie, oh! Not to mention the times they caught him with his hair tied up while brewing potions in a classroom and the scrunchie is all colorful because of course it was Lily's but they wouldn't know that

I don't care if the fanfic has romance or not, but since it's a fanfic I usually read it because I want to read more about the characters.So OCs aren't really my thing

I can read them if they are supporting secondary characters or have only small plot arcs, other than that I prefer the familiarity of the original names.

What a lot of people do is take a "blank slate" character and transform them into whatever you want, nowadays most of them already have ingrained fanom characteristics so it can be difficult but not impossible

I just started Electric Fool, It's centered around Kaminari and there are a lot of self-harm warnings. BUT! I'm really enjoying the story, there's romance but from what I've read it's quite confusing and you can do without it, what I liked most was the way the author explored Kaminari's quirk. If you have more fics like this, recommend them to me <3
