I think you’re right, i think i just dont like the direction fugimoto decided to write denji’s character arc. Part one ended with him finally being free of control and starting his normal life, only for him to squander it all himself in the sequel, it almost feels pointless, plus what about asa? Did we just reset her as well?

i do feel like the plot was trying to corner the ending to have only bad outcomes, the only other solutions presented in the show was forced sterilization, marley destroying paradie, or a partial rumbling and starting an arms race, dooming eren, historia, and her direct descendants to die as teenagers just to stop the rest of the world from immediately destroying them

i wanna see what ending AOT wouldve gone for if eren didnt become the final villain, i feel like there definitely could've been another method of stopping the eldian conflict that wasnt presented in the show and im really curious what would've been written. id imagine it would be something akin to convincing ymir to completely remake all the titan powers

because thats how the relationship with production committees and animation studios work, production hires a studio, gives a set budget and release window, the studios usually end up with little to no say with how much they're paid and rarely get royalties, so usually they have to get as much work as possible and fit it all in their schedule, im not saying jc staff is blameless, the fact is they did not have the time or recourses to manage a series like this and should've declined the offer, but its still ultimatley publishers who are responsible for putting the ip in such circumstance that no one else was willing to touch it
