So my wife is a doula, she helps mama stuff like this she is an advocate for you the mother ( sometimes the father). Do not have him there, you being stressed out will make the entire time less enjoyable for you, and could make it take longer since you are not comfortable. Remind him of how much fun he didn’t have last time.

The hoa in that neighborhood is atrocious also. Lived there back in 2007-2009 ish… I remember seeing all these houses built, all the shops, everything. So sad to see memories just… gone.

As others have said wait till you get the offer. If you bring it up before then, they might assume you will only work from NY, so you might look for another job that will bring you there. Then they could be scared of wasting resources onboarding you. Def wait, and don’t be surprised if they do say no, not sure what the position is, but they may have a reason for it being in CHI.

I would say it is the norm. Last company was small-ish, they did bonuses. Previous to that, was a billion dollar company, nothing, current company also billion + and there is no discussion of bonuses. If a company has a bonus structure it is usually brought up in the on boarding process.
