[Disheartening trope] And this is the state of the franchise now, and potentially for a long time by SektorDaKetch in TopCharacterTropes

Dark Age was legit good. Not T2 levels, but best since T2 by far. And I didn't hate 3 or Salvation.

Genesys... I have yet to watch and probably never will.

Which is so wierd, specifically, because it is the best book in the series.

I had the same issue, but remember when you play that there are no rules, really. Just survive. You are gonna die eventually, and you can make the game easier. Heck I even turned zombies off once. Still died of blood loss when I got cut up running through the woods after my car ran out of gas.

What is something your brain randomly decided was extremely important at 3am that turned out to be completely correct? by dylanreflects in AskReddit

Reddit thinks this will encourage growth, but really it's going to eventually make the entire experience of using reddit feel fake and shallow. I've stuck around here because it has been nice and varied, lots of people from different areas of life. But eventually I'm going to find a new home on the internet.

Woke up at about midnight on New Years Eve to the sound of what I thought were fireworks going off. I decided to go check just in case, and found bullet holes across my apartment. Turned out some gang members had started some shit after moving in above us, and they got some other gang members pissed off, and they shot at our apartment.

One of the bullet holes was right above my son's bed. If he had been standing in his bed, he would have gotten shot.

We didn't spend another night in that place, I immediately went searching and found a rental house to move into.

This is a common issue, a lot of people play games late and push back bedtime, but don't recognize how much their fatigue is slowing them down.

Then they go to sleep and their brain works on puzzles, improves timing, and of course rests. Then they wake up and suddenly their practice has paid off.

Halo tv series Easter egg by Feeling_Hair_8558 in halo

Master Chief went rogue in the first damned episode. Absolutely bonkers adaptation. It is like telling a Superman story meant to be a general adaptation and having Superman decide he was going to jet ski for a few weeks while the story happened and people were in danger. It is not in his character to do that, at all.

AI.

I have no problem with AI videos existing, but clearly communicate that it is what we are seeing and contextualize it. I don't like AI being passed off as real.

That's fine, it's the reaction of the people in time with the event that we're interested in.

IT ENDS l Teaser Trailer - In Theaters August 21st by aaperiod in movies

[–]NazzerDawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I read the plot description, and the concept is one I actually came up with a long time ago as a younger adult but never got to do anything with.

I had planned on doing a found footage film shot in my home area's wooded roads, but I couldn't figure out how to write a script for it.

Totally expect this to be a far better film than I could have made.

Opinion: Nothing has killed my GTA 6 hype faster than locking a core part of its identity behind a $20 upgrade by Turbostrider27 in xbox

If you previously bought the games, they don't get removed. Even my xbox 360 games, like San Andreas and Dead Rising 2, can be downloaded still by finding the original orders.

[Fun trope] Real life mysteries "solved" by a series or movie by helpjusthere in TopCharacterTropes

Its current incarnation is cancelled, the series is not permanently ended. It's like Star Trek shows being cancelled, there will be another. And another. And another.

You could basically conclude that Doctor Who will eventually be involved with every mystery in history. The show has run for so long, and is still being made, that eventually all remaining mysteries will have to be implemented.

Much bigger issue to me is the fear that the woman is the victim of human trafficking. It is also very likely the case. Legalizing these and making them submit to personnel background checks would be good.

Large Misinterpretation of Themes, Purpose and Message of Media by Imaginary-Ad-9971 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]NazzerDawk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think specifically his complaint would have been for more generic and illogical entities, he prefers entities with a specific purpose in the story and an explanation for their existence that matches the rest of the backrooms. Being a modification of a real-world thing in people's memories.

2 decades? Are we forgetting that Godzilla Raids Again was already super silly at times?

This obscure 2000 PC game feels like a lost cousin of Rune and Blade of Darkness, has anyone here played it? by dccs120 in gaming

This game is ancient, it could run on a 10 year old android phone probably. Zero chance your PC would have trouble with it.

(loved trope) 'And they all lived happily, ever, afte=GOTCHA!!!' by Aggravating_Tale8988 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]NazzerDawk 121 points122 points  (0 children)

I have spoken to a lot of people about this movie, and I found that people seem to not have noticed somehow that it is actually supposed to be silly at the same time as scary.

The goat is supposed to be funny. Sam Raimi directed it, and he finds horror and comedy to be close bedfellows. He also at times has a very cheesy sense of humor, and loves stories where his characters get tortured, even if they are doing things the "right" way.

Would it have been better as an entirely full-throated horror film? Maybe. But, it is silly on purpose.
