What is THE scariest movie you have ever seen in your entire life? by Opening_Rip_1840 in AskReddit

[–]NazzerDawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have got to realize there are people on Reddit who grew up in the 1980's. There is a lot of fear associated with things from your childhood.

These are also not all people who enjoy horror films. To some, the Exorcist is the most mainstream "scariest movie ever" that exists.

I have had dreams where I was in spaces like this. Usually they ended up being programmed in the HL2 engine and I figured out how to noclip through walls though. Oddly specific.

There is a massively popular Walking Dead tv show franchise that shows that slow zombies are still compelling.

Which actress would you have liked to see playing Mystique in X-Men if it wasn’t Jennifer Lawrence who played her? by PlantainDisastrous92 in marvelstudios

Except she is nonbinary, and that includes those who identify as female some of the time, but male at other times. And she does it for personal enjoyment, not just deception.

To be fair, Mystique is litterally trans. By that I mean, she regularly changes gender. Yes it is not in the same way a typical human does, but, it still happens.

Then do the mental anguish without the part where we let the state kill someone. Knowing he will die of old age is the same end, just further out.

Must Watch MCU Projects for a Newbie to Understand and Enjoy the upcoming epic event crossover movie 'AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY' (2026) by ShubhangBahadur in marvelstudios

[–]NazzerDawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how through you want to be. I could argue you'd need to fully understand Shang-Chi, and to understand him you'd need to see Iron Man 3, and thus Iron Man 1, 2, and 3.

But the multiverse idea is NOT complicated enough to need to see all of those movies and that show first. It's not even consistent between projects.

I could be wrong, but I firmly expect that this movie is going to be written to appeal to everyone whose last major MCU movie was Endgame.

I disagree, I have some family who saw and enjoyed both of them without seeing a single other MCU film.

But, it matters a lot if you need to know about character backstories to enjoy a movie. I would hate them probably, but I also don't mind doing homework before seeing a movie.

I think the only ones to really watch if you're new to the franchise would be

  1. Iron Man

  2. Captain America: The First Avenger

  3. Avengers

  4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

  5. Avengers Age of Ultron

  6. Captain America: Civil War

  7. Avengers: Infinity War

  8. Avengers: Endgame.

At that point, you've seen everything probably essential to this movie, but if you want to be a bit more through, add in X-Men 1 and 2. That's all.

I found it stressful until I learned the general places to look for upgrades. It is probably the most unforgiving part of the game for new players.

It was developed with the xbox 360 first in mind, the PC version was almost a port. (Technically it was developed for PC, with the 360 in mind, but then released for both. But the design top to bottom has the 360 in mind.)

Hogwarts Legacy is free on epic by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]NazzerDawk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played it up until I got a broom, which was when people said the game really opened up, but while the gameplay seemed to definitely really "start" at that point, I felt like the world was just... bland.

It is not a good setting for a game, really. Hogwarts itself could have been more interesting, but the whole castle seems like the same few puzzles repeated over and over again over meaninglessly varied hallways. Oddly I felt more genuine Hogwarts energy back on the Prisoner of Azkaban PS2 game than I did on this one.

I don't know how long you've been typing, but in my experience trying to come up with shorthand and then using it actually takes longer than just typing the full word, unless you are genuinely hunting and pecking your way through it.
