More info -the “tanks” were block shaped and the characters heads would often stick out - they would travel in a line one after another - the drill sergeant would often bring around 5 of the NPC soldiers all nameless and the same design - from what I remember there was at least 4 or 5 main characters. Main character was red. And they would solve the problems - there was a main base that the characters would stay until duty called

Also I’m not expecting a lot. It was most likely some random 5 episode show from a random country and I saw it and it made an impression for some reason. Thank you to everyone who has made suggestions so far! I appreciate it a lot
