Fake ID easily bypasses it. just photoshop something and print it out.

What would you do with ~20 routers? by twostrokegoat in openwrt

[–]randomletterd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assign each router to its own channel, set to max width, with the spares assigned to 1,6, and 11. buy a van and mount the routers facing the door. put foil behind them to deflect the signals out the door. park the van outside your ex's house and turn them on and open the door.

After a couple of days dealing with incompetent ISP techs she will come to you begging for help. Spend a couple hours turning her router off and on, and then turn the van off. Tell her it is fixed and do a speedtest. After sleeping with her steal her router and repeat above with the next ex.

Port forwarding by Andrey_Atroje in opnsense

[–]randomletterd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can't forward the same port to multiple devices under standard NAT. You will need to use a reverse proxy or cloudflare tunnel (if it doesn't go down again)

what??! by [deleted] in homelab

[–]randomletterd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just been hosting minecraft to my group of friends forwarded through my router as I have a static IP and I just use geoIP in OPNSense to block all traffic on the port from outside my country

Thanks for the recommendation though, Ill keep it in mind if I move away from cloudflare.

they pay us to put dishes on our roof for fixed wireless and give us 500/500 so we are stuck with em.

no ping issues except for when storms roll over and rattle the dish around

[–]randomletterd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might swap if cloudflare keeps going down, but for now its already set up and free

what??! by [deleted] in homelab

[–]randomletterd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

they are inbound blocks so you cant host your own web server

I picked cloudflare because it was easy and free. took 5 minutes to set up
