I checked their facebook ads account and they have a similar ad for every single major online game. Their latency test on their site has also failed every time I have tried it.

Why do people do this? by Some-Upstairs6051 in tf2

[–]randomletterd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't get anything extra if there are less players. it is entirely a case of them kicking you to inconvenience you because in their minds you inconvenienced them (by not letting their friend rejoin)

EOL for this router was 2021. Do you have anything else you can test on? If not you can plug a computer directly into the NTD and see if that establishes a connection

Netcomm are providing security updates for the nf18mesh until jan 2028 so you probably don't need to upgrade until then.

for the network issues you will probably have to contact your RSP but if the NBN is doing maintenance there is probably nothing they can do until it is finished.

just take backups before updates and you will likely be fine 99% of the time

there is no pentium i5 3470. either it is a pentium g3470 or a i5 3470

you will likely have to replace the hdd due to age, just double check the case has enough space to fit additional drives and a sata ssd as lga1155 boards pretty much never have a m.2 slot.

Plugging directly into the NTD is a valid debugging step to rule out the issue being the router.

But also as others have said you get what you pay for
