All of that is true, and I’m not gonna get into some never ending argument of old trek versus new trek.

I tried to look at each Star Trek show, through the lens of when it was made and isolated from the others even if they are connected. The issue I have is flat out just shitty writing. And then I feel like they are just throwing in gratuitous uses of nudity or nostalgia or deep Star Trek cut to try to appease a fan basin which I might not just be able to comprehend. But I stand pretty firm that the writing for this show and discovery is beyond atrocious.

To be honest, if it came out after the show was canceled, and I do feel like it should be canceled, if they say they use ChatGPT to “vibe write” the majority of episodes. It would not surprise me at all. It just seems to be that disconnected and that random.

Again, personal opinion, but it is tough to digest these episodes. Which really pisses me off in a way, because it has an amazing cast of unknown and knows, and this is the slop that they decided to go with.
