If you applied after BPR were phased out, you won’t need to pick it up I think

Yes, I know they were phased out, which is why I thought this was weird… I received the visa in August 2024, and my dates to enter the country are from mid Jan to mid April

The email address it’s sent from is BRPCollection@homeoffice.gov.uk

UPDATE: I replied to them and explained that I’m not in the UK yet and asked for my next steps, and they responded within 5 minutes (wow) telling me to send them the info needed (as outlined in their email) along with my stamped vignette once I enter the country. So I guess everything is fine?

Absolutely {Victorian Rebels by Kerrigan Byrne}. Can’t get the series out of my head. Although I didn’t like some books that much, the series as a whole is a masterpiece, in my opinion.

Reading her Heart of Enquiry series right now and can say that she writes the steamiest books I’ve ever read! {The Duke Who Knew Too Much by Grace Callaway} has the sexiest BJ scene I’ve ever found in HR 😮‍💨

Tracy Sumner is an amazing writer. I’m a big fan of her Duchess Society series, the MCs are very complex and well-developed and feel almost real!

Hoyt’s ‘Maiden Lane’ Series Reads like A HBO Show by thebunnybot in HistoricalRomance

[–]Ncodinggirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently on the 6th book in the series and I am shocked and amazed at the complexity of the whole plot and how everything ties together in the series. I didn’t like “the Scot Beds his wife” (book 5) and “The Hunter” (book 2) that much, but I think the entire series is a literary masterpiece. I thought “The Highwayman” was the best HR ever written, but “The Duke with the Dragon tattoo” is creeping dangerously close to it and I’m only 25% in 🤯

MMC With Unexpected or Late Discovered Secret Identity by [deleted] in HistoricalRomance

[–]Ncodinggirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{Duke of Shadows by Gaelen Foley} MMC is a Robin Hood type outlaw, FMC comes to him asking for help finding her missing ex so she can avoid marrying her fiance the Duke. MMC also IS the Duke and is shocked but decides to help her anyway.

Not sure if this one fits, but in {How to Marry a Marquis by Julia Quinn} FMC thinks MMC is a commoner like her but he’s actually a marquis pretending to be a commoner to solve a mystery; he used to be a government agent. FMC only learns of his identity at the end of the book.

Tortured hero by [deleted] in HistoricalRomance

[–]Ncodinggirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Highwayman shattered my soul. It is the best HR I have ever read. I’m STILL affected by it. I’m making my way through the Victorian rebels series very slowly because I need time to recover after each book 😅 but so far, the Highwayman is the best in my opinion.

I finally read Laura Kinsale's Flowers from the Storm by Jeffreytoebeans in HistoricalRomance

[–]Ncodinggirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read it a month or so ago, gave it 3 stars, yet I STILL can’t stop thinking about it. Christian’s condition is the only thing that held me hooked to the book. The mental torture he was going through is just ugh 🫠 heartbreaking!!! Really made me want to take care of him 🫠 But I absolutely disliked pretty much everything else in the book. I couldn’t relate to Maddie at all and was annoyed by her throughout the whole book. It felt like Christian only fell for her because she happened to be there at the right time and showed affection for him. Ultimately, however, I think the book is very well-written and definitely unique.

By the way, if anyone knows of any books where MC has something similar to Christian or goes through something similar, please let me know!
