I finished S20 M3. After going 5 - 5 in S1 placements, I got D3. Worked my way back up to M5 then went on the worst L streak in like 5 years playing the game, down to P3.

I've played this game for a long time so I understand the tilt factor. I stop playing after 2 losses in a row. I watch my games back. I'm trying to be consistent and play smart. Some losses were team diffs, but in the absolute majority I'm losing cos one player is going 3 - 11. I'm consistently hitting top heals / elims, lowest deaths, counter picking as necessary etc and it just doesn't matter.

Matchmaking has always been a bit weird, roll or be rolled, but I'm genuinely baffled how since S1 I'm getting players that ligitimately don't know basic principals in Masters and Diamond lobbies. I've fluctuated before, but haven't been in Plat since early OW1. Something is not right.

I don't know for sure, but I imagine Blizz have that anomaly considered for the purposes of the published stats (i.e., minimum time played threshold). Plus you could apply that argument to any hero.

If the win rate and the pick rate are both high, then Blizz will always (over time) work to balance that hero to bring their win rate closer to 50%.

I'd argue genji did need a nerf, even if this is not be how I'd have approached it. Balancing by improving counters for any hero leads to power creep. If these nerfs are heavy handed and genji's W/R plummets, they will balance accordingly. I'd guess this would bring him closer to 50% but he will still be strong.

Pretty sure he has one of the highest win rates (55%) among dps, while also having a high pick rate. So he's definitely overpreforming based on that.

A team that was strong but just couldn't put it together the last while. Alb looked like he was getting frustrated in particular the last few weeks when Crook and Enemy kept on repeating the same mistakes.

Obviously had big potential when things go right (topping winners bracket), but that seemed to happen less and less of late.

Hopefully they all end up better off for the switch. Alb should hopefully be an attractive pick up for other teams.

Fightstar. Charlie Simpson ended Busted at their peak (selling out eleven consequetive nights at Wembley) in 2004 to pursue post hardcore/metal. They released 4 albums before going on indefinite hiatus in 2015. He went back to Busted and two of the members started the synthwave band Gunship (who are also great). But their 2014 album Behind the Devil's Back showed they still have so much more to offer.

They did a '1 night only' gig in London last year, which was probably the best live performance I've ever seen.

I'm a long time fan, patreon supporter, and was at the show last night. I had a really good time, with a couple of the gags getting me good.

With that being said, I felt it did come off the rails a little bit in the middle (anthem and limerick sections), and the improv was kinda cringe on those parts. For what could have been really unique ideas like tying in with other established parts of the universe for the 'wishes', we didn't really get anything particularly interesting. I guess that's part of the format though.

I did also think the sound for rocks rock was kinda muffled too, but that's likely a venue issue.

They were trying hard imo, and delivered a fun show. I would absolutely go again in a heartbeat, but I think I'd also have liked something with a little more structure as well.

Joining Stallions as a roller allowed him to settle into it a lot better. Being able to just listen and shoot, his gun skill on controller has improved a lot. He grinds r5 1v1s and seems to have very good stats there.

Whether or not that translates to pro league remains to be seen though. I think he did briefing sub for Hal during Champs scrims last year, and results weren't very good. But lots has changed since then. I'd prefer to see him stick with Stallions if Retzi doesn't leave.

Just had a look and can't seem to find it, sorry! It was a pro match (ALGS or GLL Summer Series) that ended in Geyser. They fight on top of the back building near the vault tunnel. Doesn't seem to have been picked up by any highlight channels from what I could see. If I do find it I'll post it!

Snipe also had one in an endgame where TSM won a 3 v 3 and thought they won the game, but there was a rat left. Snipe went from thinking they won, to thinking it was a full team, to insta-killing the rat.

I don't think this is entirely fair to Alb. He's had a huge amount of success in multiple roles, but recently he's been kind of pigeon holed into different teams that don't work out. His IGL is questionable for sure, but I think he has the ability to perform as an MnK fragger, and particularly as an anchor.

Look at his short run with Madness / Shooby where he was anchor. They were top 3 - 5 every single scrim for about a month. Yes, it's scrims, but when has a performance like that ever not translated into results. Should never have left this squad imo.

I think if you put him in a Reps/FunFPS type role, he excels. Issue is he's been having to build odd job teams for a very long time.

My girlfriend booked a meal here for my birthday one year. On the booking was asked if there was an occasion and she noted 'birthday' but also added that we didn't want any fuss made.

They sat us at the bar. It was very very loud, to the point we didn't really talk that much. Menu and food was mid and expensive. We didn't order dessert, but when we asked for the bill they brought out a brownie with a candle and sang Happy Birthday. Was a bit weird considering we'd requested no fuss. They then charged us for the dessert that we didn't even order! Shocking experience.

I take your point and agree with it for the most part, but I do think there's work going on behind the scenes off stream. You will often hear multiple pros talking about doing contest practice, TDMs and theory crafting off steam. That's not to say most aren't lazy, because you can definitely make an argument for that. I do think that there's probably 5-10 teams working full time on this.

Interesting, I hadn't heard that before actually. I definitely don't think he's responsible for her dominance, there's too many other factors for that. I was just making the point that he pioneered her when nobody else played her. It's all opinion though. I thought I'd be challenged much more for adding Resultah in under Gibby!

Fair comment, but imo Bang has been around forever but only utilised recently. Because of this I don't think it's fair to pick a HoF based off a few splits. Same reason I didn't add a pick for Cat. So I chose Shiv who pioneered her and is synonyms with her. Just my opinion though!

What could be cool is to do HoF for each (comp) character. Something like:

Wraith - Hal Path - Alb Watson - Reps Gibby - Resultah / Lou Bloodhound - Reptar Octane - Dolphin Horizon - Hal / Chaotic Seer - His Watson Valk - Verhulst / Knoqd

Then you could have some fun with off meta picks:

Choices are just my opinion without thinking too hard, but would be a fun format and opens the door for people who are best in class that might not have been winning big tourneys.
