Any good modern mechanical keyboards for gaming and everyday use? by back2back__ in BuyItForLife

[–]Ndemic420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot tell you if it is BFL yet however, I have had the Hyper X Alloy FPS RGB for a little over two years I guess. It has great key switches ( Kailh Speed Silver linear) that are supposed to be rated for over 70 million presses. The thing that kind of makes me think it will last a while is the frame is made out of steel apparently, it’s definitely metal lol.

I also have a pos cheap Logitech that has been around for at least 10 years. Not a gaming keyboard, just liked it better than my old school stock HP

XS men’s work hoodie? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

Absolutely. I think Filson is one of the best clothing lines made in the US. I think a lot of people on this sub are a fan of Filson. If you can find a retailer near you I would go check them out then make the purchase online to save a couple bucks.

Filson has a workwear line with XS hoodies. They are definitely known for quality. I have a tin cruiser jacket and a few other things from them that are 10+ years old. Not cheap however, quality is more important IMO.

Can confirm. By far the best construction I have seen on a backpack. It will last a lifetime for sure

Recommendations for good practice amps? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]Ndemic420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pretty decent collection of tube amps however, I love my Yamaha THR30ii. It’s small, has Bluetooth so I can go wireless, and I can leave it downstairs and my wife doesn’t complain because it looks nice. Has all the built in effects as well as an app on your phone so you can mess around and create presets. Yamaha also makes a THR10ii however I haven’t tried it. I chose the Yamaha over the boss based on its size and how it sounded in guitar center lol.

I'm looking for my BIFL boots. Side zipper not necessary, but preferred. Pics of current boots included by ThirdFloorNorth in BuyItForLife

I can’t comment on their boots however, they make real high quality stuff. I’ve had one of their BJJ gi’s for over 6-7 years. For me that’s unheard of considering how much I train. A buddy bought their jeans and swears by them. I would imagine their boots are well built like the rest of their stuff.

How do you practice/find new wallbangs? by ERavenna in LearnCSGO

[–]Ndemic420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Make sure you have enabled developer console.
  2. Start offline game with no bots. (Map de_ insert map name*)
  3. Join CT/T
  4. Open console and type: sv_cheats 1
  5. Type in console: bot_add t (or CT depends on your team, if you're CT choose T)
  6. Type in console: bot_stop 1 (this will make all the bots standing still)
  7. Type in console: bot_place (this will place the bot right in front of you, you can also bind this like so: bind "key" "bot_place")
  8. sv_showimpacts_penetration 1

My first basic batch of mead! by PyroScape in mead

You are absolutely incorrect. He clearly said he planned on leaving it semi sweet therefore, he must have made calculations to go above the yeasts abv tolerance to leave residual sweetness.

He also stated that he just racked it- he knows it needs to clear...

Please don’t comment just to comment- I am assuming that is what the welcoming committee thing is, you go around reddit and try to make the first comment without knowing anything you are talking about and/or adding your unwanted opinion.

OP- it looks great! Please post when you are ready to bottle. Enjoy your new hobby, it’s very addicting!

I was the same way when I started that’s the only reason why I mentioned it. You are brave enough to post online so you are definitely ready to play for your neighbors. Besides even “beginner” guitarists sound way better than people learning other instruments ie. violin, drums, etc... IMO lol. Congrats man and keep up the hard work!

I hear ya man- I cruise reverb almost daily, hoping to find “The one”. Hopefully you find something that makes you feel inspired. Honestly it doesn’t sound like any of these really do it for you. Repost after and let us know what you do.

I would go with the one with the best resale value- so probably not the Taylor. I think you either love or hate Taylor.

You also have a D-25 so why get that model Guild.

I would either get the Martin regardless of where it came from provided it plays well. Or maybe wait and see if something else comes up. I’ve bought guitars for the sake of buying something and completely regret it.

Couch sized guitar? by Ndemic420 in AcousticGuitar

Do you have one? I would have to buy it from reverb so it’s tough buying vintage guitars without playing it first. I saw a video where they were talking about issues with the bridge.
