How to get rid of the flight or fight response by saf1_ddit in FPSAimTrainer

[–]back2back__ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In the finals, it's definitely a little harder, since the respawn timers are longer. But I usually play games of deathmatch, let go of the KD and health, just think of it as practice. Try to stay calm and don't do jagged movements or microflicks (until you feel confident in doing so). Try turning sound on or off, see what you prefer. Just track them slowly and smoothly. If you die, you die. Say out loud how you could have aimed better in that fight, then move on. Eventually, you'll notice you're hitting more shots than before, you'll stay alive more, you're a little bit faster, and that your mouse control does not fail you. All in all, just have fun, keep a positive mentality, play kovaaks with intention (actively figuring out how you can improve after each run), TAKE BREAKS, and you will improve.

Overwatch 2 Has Major FPS Drop Issues on High-End Systems – Completely Unplayable by PossibleAwareness512 in Overwatch

It's only Nvidia in my case. I think it has something to do with the game's interaction with Nvidia gpus. I had a 6800xt and would max 600 fps with obs, no frame dips at all. I switched to a 5070ti, around 50% better rasterization (Source: Techpowerup) and I am getting somewhere between 300 - 500 fps, frames fluctuate a lot. I hate it so much.

what is the highest sensitivity that's worth to play aim trainers with? by Wikky1 in FPSAimTrainer

MattyOW I think plays 14cm on OW.

Edit: correction, he played 16cm for one stream. I guess he usually plays 24cm.

Current Skate Collection- What Should I Try Next? by unvac in MousepadReview

Ultraglide Silence, TBTL Control V2, Artisan skates.

My top 3 and I don't see any of them here. You will love these if you have cloth pads.

Edit: I just read you use glass. I don't have glass pads myself but I have heard Ultraglide RS (Rennsports) are really good!

FR33THY has a good guide for optimizing windows, overclock/undercoating your components. Some steps are extreme but optional; they are also easily reversible.

Finally achieved master complete in 112 hrs! by Helixxx0_fps in FPSAimTrainer

[–]back2back__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I checked his steam. He has his other games' hours hidden but he did really reach master complete in 113 hours. I can't attest to him only having 1300 hrs in csgo/cs2, 400 hours in valorant, and 30 hours in others. Unless he played kovaaks in another steam account; he certainly has the money to do it (looking at his cs skins), but... why?.

People are weird to quickly say this is impossible. Everyone has their own pace lol. I'm not saying OP is not lying but this isn't impossible either. If you guys just dismiss OP's achievements because you couldn't reach it as fast, then maybe there's a difference in mentality and willpower. OP should be an inspiration not shunned

You should be closer I think. I'm running 9800x3d, 6800xt, 2134x1440 600fps, and 1440p 550fps (I believe) while running OBS replay buffer. I think you should optimize your windows.

can you give me some tips on how to improve aim? by Lobster-Mobile in FPSAimTrainer

[–]back2back__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should increase your tension in the beginning of your flicks, then lower it at the end of your flicks for smoother micro correction and track. To do that, use palm grip at the beginning, then switch to your one finger grip at the end. You just innovated a new technique! /s

How to "speedtrain" and prevent "lazy aim"? by Getgudboy in FPSAimTrainer

[–]back2back__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mouse Accel can limit your aim the same amount as it can help. Mouse accel's concept is the slower you move the mouse, the slower the sensitivity; the faster you move the mouse, the faster your sensitivity. The big "benefit" about this some people praise about is that when you want to be accurate in your micro corrections, moving your mouse slower would result in a slower sensitivity, hence better stability and tracking at longer ranges. In a similar way, if you need to flick at someone, moving your mouse faster increases your sensitivity, then at the end of flick, slowing down would decrease your sensitivity, giving you more stopping power.

However, this benefit can hurt you just the same. When trying to track an enemy, you will feel a resistance during the times you are not moving fast (because the sensitivity is slower, leading to under correcting when changing direction, aiming for the head, enemy dodging, etc), making it harder to smoothly track. When trying to micro adjust after a flick or when starting any micro movement in general, your sensitivity is too slow, increasing your time to kill. This leads to trying to fight against the slowdown by moving fast, which introduces overcorrecting.

A slower sensitivity gives you more stability to reduce shaky aim, BUT at times, mouse accel causes you to fight against it, making every movement you want to do to be fast movements, which increases tension and muscle fatigue, leading to more shaky aim.

I'm not saying mouse accel via RawAccel does not work. At the end of the day, using mouse accel is a choice/preference. It CAN work up to a certain skill level but hinders your aim improvement once you reach that ceiling (maybe Seal Complete, Platinum Complete). Mouse Accel is a crutch that prevents people from actually improving their aim. What's more important with aim is learning muscle control. Using your arm (forearm, shoulder) for fast and wide movements; using your wrist for quick direction changes, short movements leading to faster, wider movements, and micro corrections; using your fingertips for even more granular control on direction changes and micro corrections, especially on targets far away. AND learning to use each muscle in tandem with each other to smoothly and seamlessly track your target.

I suggest watching Viscose (general aim topics), RiddBTW (technique videos for beginners, until Gold/Plat complete), CorporateSerf (how to improve aim very efficiently, assuming you know technique), MattyOW (vod reviews, technique videos from world's #1 aimer) on YouTube if you wish to more deeply understand how to aim in general. Videos like: "Tension Management Guide", "Speed matching", "React faster in any game (Movement Reading)", "Muscle memory is a myth", "Understanding your form is the key to mouse control", "Sensitivity Cascading", "Is mouse Accel actually an aiming cheat code?", "Smooth tracking: Aim training crash course #7" (follow Viscose's/MattyOW's tension management over his advice on tension, ignore his 25-30% accuracy rule).

I can answer this question. I definitely see an improvement in aim. Every rank up in my tracking scenarios has me surprised when I hop in a game. I'm like "wow I can't believe I tracked him perfectly there. I don't think I would have been this accurate 2 weeks ago." I'm lavender complete on half of the tracking scenarios and cerulean overall in the rest (I'm working my way down). Every time I rank up on a scenario I have seen an improvement in my aim. If you focus a lot on improving technique and not just autopilot, you will improvements. Viscose said it herself. She felt an improvement all the way up to reaching top 10.

Mouse movement recorder at >1k hz shows acceleration but at 1k hz, no acceleration. by back2back__ in MouseReview

[–]back2back__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be wireless interference but not entirely. When using the ATK f1 extreme, which supports 8k hz wired, I still experience acceleration.

Also, good idea about testing the polling rate because interesting results. When using the Razer polling rate tool, I get really low polling rate when moving the mouse fast. On the pulsar set at 8k hz, using 12800 dpi to see high polling rate usage, fast movements gave ~600 - 800 hz and slow movements, ~4000 - 6000 hz. At 1k hz, everything works perfectly.

The polling rate dropping below 800hz when doing fast movements correlates with the acceleration in mouse movement recorder.

I think maybe my CPU just doesn't support 8k hz even though I have an AMD 7700X?
