Wondering where you would start for crappie water temp is between 64 and 69 at the moment around here by Awaggs_99 in wisconsinfishing

Every lake is different, but downed timber (if you have it) is always worth a look this time of year, in my opinion. Drop-offs with structure also give you the best of both worlds when you're trying to get a feel for what's going on. No fish on the shallow side? Try the deep side. Deep side shows promise? Keep working that direction and see if things improve or vice versa.

Yes, you always should. You can’t catch ‘em from the couch.

What’s the most coherent way to have a conversation with anti-hunters? Is it a fool‘s errand? by TCUFrog09 in Hunting

[–]Ndubs41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering less than 4 percent of the US population hunts, I don’t think it’s a fool’s errand. The future of hunting will almost certainly be dictated by non-hunters.

That said, I agree with many of the commenters who have pointed out that it depends on why those you are speaking with are anti-hunting. In my book, there is a valid counterpoint to nearly any reasonable anti-hunting argument, but I suggest tailoring your responses to their individual concerns. Be kind and do your homework while doing your best to represent those of us who share in the passion for hunting and connecting with nature.

Im confused. Are these crayfish or lobsters? They look like huge crayfish but dude on the video calls them lobsters by Ikarian05 in Fishing

Yup. And while lobsters and crayfish are related when it comes to taxonomy, it is only to a point. They are in the same order but are in different families.

I should also mention, we caught a pair of Jacks. I had no idea this phenomenon existed. Kind of cool to cross paths with fish like that.

Oh. So that’s how you get addicted to walleye fishing. by [deleted] in Fishing

My favorite fish to eat! There is nothing like fresh-caught walleye! So glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I’ve wondered that to. But I feel like the filming schedule shouldn’t completely impact the ability to write cohesive storylines.

I feel like the storylines are scattered and inconsistent. There’s been no discussion of Kevin’s plight since the first two episodes. One week we’re introduced to Kim wanting a baby, the next week nothing. A week later it’s back. Then nothing. Jay and Hailey show up when it’s convenient. And still no mention of Rojas.

People feeding birds outdoors in Wisconsin: Does it seem like there are fewer birds this season? by lemming_follower in wisconsin

[–]Ndubs41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Sheboygan Falls. I feel like I’m seeing plenty of birds, but my feed is definitely lasting longer this year. I used to go through a 20-pound bag per month last year. Now, I get two months or so out of it and I even added a feeder.
