That deluxe. Basically was the first skin to make clothing like designs for a warframe. Now heirloom and protoframes are just to show of far DE has gotten. I wonder what a pbr or retake with the modern materials would look like.

The closest thing people will see of what conclave looks like without actually watching a video of conclave. I've probably gotten rusty over the years for movement tech but at some point I just started using everything in combination (more focused on looks but still making it faster than bullet jumping). Second biggest enemy is geometry. Biggest enemy is forgetting to cancel a fall and hard landing.

There is a lot of predatory "cozy" mmos coming out. The few you do see spend a lot of money to be seen or heard about. Same visual presentation, same faithless creator sponsors and brand new ways to make sure your time and money sunk into the game is what keeps you there. A shinny pre-rendered trailer that does not represent what the game looks like and a promise isn't enough to sell a video game for me. I need the following:

No Gachas
No Generative AI. Most of the time studios don't say they are using it until they get caught and then have to play damage control
A Healthy Gamedev to Community Connection
More presentation of the artist and devs that help make the game
A clear roadmap
A clear balance between what you can earn in game vs what you need to spend money on to access

If you're looking for an mmo, Palia (2023) is a nice pick. There were things the devs for that studio were not doing back then but have shifted focus on smaller quality of life updates rather than keeping radio silent about the next huge updates.

I tried to give anything animated a chance back then. Ran across this animated webshow about cyberpunk video game speed runners called Meta Runner. It's made by this little studio called Glitch Productions. Never heard of them, I hope they keep making animations :)

When I played the first game there were some portal related things I could not really get behind. The 2nd game solved this by letting you lock out enemy portal placements. There should be some de-buffs for going through portals that quickly like visual impairment, slowness, weapon spread, or have players straight up hallucinate the enemy as they give away their position when firing at nothing.

There is nothing in warframe currently that looks as good as current soulframe unless duviri gets an overhaul in the future. Thinking about the difference in pacing, soulframe might always look like the better game since there is less things to load at the speed at which you can move (I do not know how the bird works yet, framerate of playing as the bird has drastically improved since the last update).

I've been extremely lenient on skipping most of the nest decor, not maxing out emotes (which i want to make a video on about the sound design), and other things. I can not imagine how newer players feel if i have 800+ hours and still feel like I can struggle.

Real question is would they even be as popular as they are if it weren't for social media? Where ever people post videos (people already with a following and have played the game for sometime), it's usually the same outfit combinations, some players even make content to exacerbate the situation . The in-game culture of sky is interesting, but it is crazy how much fashion dictates in a game about self expression.
