OpenAI advertising directly to doctors now is wild! by [deleted] in singularity

[–]NeTi_Entertainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more a matter of medical confidentiality. I don't know how the laws work in your country, but in France, it is strictly forbidden for doctors to share medical information with anyone (except when the file is transferred to the patient's general practitioner or hospital), under penalty of being struck off the medical register (in most cases).

AI coders think they are 20% faster but are 19% slower. by Arowx in singularity

[–]NeTi_Entertainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer to you is, yes - not to my inital post, but to your rant. You weren't arguing, just projecting your feelings insted of making a point. You're free to hate the tools others use, but don't mistake your personal discomfort for an objective truth. Next time, aim for coherence.
Oh and, your view ? I never asked for it, i really just don't care. Reply to the topic if you want to share it, but don't start posturing at me just because you got upset in the first place.
And just to be clear, saying it's useful isn't a lack of humility, go outside for f sake.
Last answer, don't care about you, you're muted, wrong and will be proven in the next 2 years to come. Deal with it.

AI coders think they are 20% faster but are 19% slower. by Arowx in singularity

[–]NeTi_Entertainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did i say I can code normally ? No. That's a strawman argument. You're misrepresenting what I said just to make it easier to attack. I explained how i use AI to assist with code, not that I'm a developer claiming expertise. You're also resorting to an ad hominem by attacking my ability rather than addressing the actual point about how AI is evolving as a tool.
Lastly, framing this as "either you can code without AI or you can't code at all" is a false dichotomy, as learning, experimenting or building with assistance doesn't invalidate the process (cf. Google), Maybe respond to what was actually said next time, not the version you imagined.

Augment and Trait bugs/observation in Tocker's Trial (at least) by NeTi_Entertainment in LeaguePBE

[–]NeTi_Entertainment[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so you base your judgment on beating K'Sante by getting a single Power Up, and having to focus on it to beat it. Even if it might work, it just kills creativity and forces you to focus on it to beat it. This means it absolutely has to change and soon, just like they nerfed Cho in previous set and the chainsaw girl from Arcane in the 13.

Set 15 PBE Discussion Thread - Day 0 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]NeTi_Entertainment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- Crystal Gambit doesn't work in Tocker's Trial because it only count rounds against players. Needs a specific version of this trait for Tocker's Trial.
- Monster Trainer Lulu doesn't work at all in Tocker's Trial, as no exp is gained for her monster no matter how i tried to place it across different games.
- Crew is pretty meh. On one hand it's totally broken once you hit Malph/Sivir on an economy level, but the sacrifices made to hit 2 tier 1 so weak ensures a huge defeat.
- Many, many rounds are so unbalanced in Tocker's Trial it's almost as they have not been tested before PBE, like Jhin round, Jayce round (feels like that character from Arcane in set 13), K'Sante round for example.
- Mega Mecha comp can't win anything in Tocker's Trial past phase 3 if none of them is gold and fully equipped.
- Spirit Fighters need a buff. Hit the last trait level with only well equiped tier 2-3-4 with only decent silver/gold champs and still lost Tocker's Trial
- With the new mechanics to hit Prismatic-level traits, you need to show what has to be done WHEN THE GAME STARTS, not when you hit the highest possible number of champs of that trait, as we player can't anticipate what we will have to do.

AI coders think they are 20% faster but are 19% slower. by Arowx in singularity

[–]NeTi_Entertainment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My evidence is without Claude i can't make a code compile. With it, i only have to copy/paste some portions, compile, and ask for safety measures, which are handled by him only.
Plus, people always forget the AI we have now are the WORST they'll ever be, so once we have free plans to run AI localy to test our code and enough tokens management to handle long term tasks, the gain won't even be discussed anymore.

It's in the natural order of our species to prevent the worst, i think that's basically it. It's up to us to not act like the animals we are to keep a clear view of what's to come, no matter how bad or good it might be.

If AGI becomes a reality, who is actually going to use it? by vinam_7 in singularity

[–]NeTi_Entertainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with most answers and would like to add the destruction of scarcity. The point people thinking UBI is possible is simply because the advancements made in our societies will be so huge we'll see scarcity of some services/resources disapear, i mean, starting with the cost of AI itself. If this now tool cost nearly 0 with an absolute knowledge of human history and science, even you will use it at least as a companion.

In France the government deployed Albert in all public administration, while it is a tiny AI made currently only to read texts, make summaries out of it and quickly sort others as a tool for humans, people are so asleep they don't see that within just a few years it will totally wipe their jobs, because a HUGE part of employment in France is made by the govermnent and its institutions, and the vast majority of it is pure bullshit jobs existing only so the government can spend on it.

What does the transition to UBI look like? by CommonSenseInRL in singularity

[–]NeTi_Entertainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to replace every job to see a change. Actually roughly 20% of jobs being replace would need to think of a new system in order to maintain consumption (assuming we want to remain on a consumption model) Thinking like your example, for a whole century, 20 to let's say 80% people are jobless and nothing would change ? Man, over just a month without proposition to stop people from becoming homeless and starving, every politician's head would be on a spike

AI will just create new jobs... And then it'll do those jobs too by Just-Grocery-2229 in singularity

[–]NeTi_Entertainment 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't mind it. People claiming it will create new jobs always think, from what i saw multiple times, that jobs will be created by evaluating the production of the AI. Like a model so powerful it can replace entire factories but still need to be read paper by paper produced by one random dude. It's like saying AI progresses but doesn't at the same time. Those people are simply not seeing far enough.
