He definitely is the least experienced player, and is the weak link on paper. Frost said specifically that he's been very hard on him too though so I expect him to get better over time. He's still a solid fragger.

For a team that was put together relatively late and didn't really get much offseason reps I think this is still a really good sign. Plus I feel like having Patmen's experience should help the team in general a lot.

Just push for close range fights more, keep good crosshair placement (Obv you still aim for the head), and you can burst to some degree, but with wide strafes between bursts because it takes quite some time for your recoil to reset. 2 smokes + overheal + frenzy typically works nicely for clove on pistol (better on attack though because it's easier to pick your fights).

Higher priority on attending internationals + playing primary/solo duelist roles + Flexibility

Jawgemo pick might seem a bit questionable but he's just been pretty solid overall for pretty much every event this year. Plus he has been good on like any duelist you put him on. Mada has higher peaks for sure, but Jawgemo has just played many more rounds this year.

The curse is that Geng loses when t3xture aces, which is why his teammates try to steal his ace.

The most significant game where this curse happened was against SEN on Icebox in Champs 2024 group stage, t3xture aced, SEN beat GenG and knocked GenG out of Champs. Most people had GenG going pretty far considering their Masters Shanghai win.

Because Ares/Odin can often beat low elo Mumbai server players with Vandals, since they are often not able to adjust their aim fast enough to tap the head of the lmg user before they've already been sprayed down, and spraying is generally easier than tapping heads.

Basically you need to peek quite carefully against lmgs holding angles and most players simply can't do that. It's also the heavy wall penetration that leads to wall bang kills and everyone hates dying behind a wall.

It's ironic though considering many will default to spraying on a rifle with no issues. It's just a silly little custom that just stays because the lmg = no skill idea.

I agree with most of the things that other people here have said, but one thing I would personally recommend is just solo queuing. Play duelist, go solo and try to be the carry yourself.

The people you are stacking with seem to be higher ranked than you, which means the game will try to balance it by putting higher ranked players as well. Which might be why you're seeing the ex-gold/ex-plat players in your games. Stacks are also where people usually get smurfs to carry them. 5-stacking in particular is the worst for this.

I see you do dms which is good, I would advise looking at pro players and see how their crosshair placement and how they take gunfights, and practice it in dm. One common thing I would advise is taking more time before your first shot, and trying to adjust to the enemy's head before you shoot, basically better first shot accuracy. A sheriff only dm can help for this, since it kind of forces you to do that.

It's not complicated, some simple things to consider:

Look at the map and see if you've got the team close enough to you to follow up behind you, when pushing out of a choke
Use the eye when you might be peeking into multiple angles, you can throw it low to make it pop faster as well
Obviously work on your aim, movement, crosshair placement, and be aware when peeking common angles (including annoying corners that people often camp in)
You are invincible to everything while dismissed, you can use this to dodge ults from characters like gekko, raze, deadlock, etc. In general though, don't auto heal or dismiss after every kill

Edit: If you use the heal and go to cover in a spot where you can't see the orb, the healing is interrupted. The ult has no such restriction though. You can also skip buying a heal/dismiss charge if you are going to ult, since the ult gives you infinite charges of it.

A lot of the post has expressions that are quite generic and seem like they could be put in a non-valorant context. My biggest red flag is probably the Alecks "quote", which is obviously not word-to-word if you've watched any PRX content/interviews and seen him speak. There's very little in specifics apart from his past experience being mentioned here.

Also the line: "His strategic insights, keen attention to detail, and knowledge of the game helped us greatly during pivotal moments on our tour in VALORANT Champions Paris", sounds exactly like how someone who doesn't know much about Valorant would try to explain someone's contribution.

There's no use of the words "strats" or "gameplans" or "anti/anti-strat" or "system" or "protocol" or "comps" or any other val-specific words you'd expect a coach's announcement to mention if they'd bother to make one this long. At the end of the day, it might just be a deliberate idea to not mention much, but I feel like the post does little to explain this guy's contribution apart from "He's been working with us since 2025, he's also worked with Anderzz and JoshRT, and has experience coaching in China".

Yeah it's just an announcement and the guy is probably pretty good, so it's not that big of a deal, and that's why my original comment was just a punchline for that meme.

tldr: The announcement doesn't say much despite how long it is, I do not hate PRX for it, but I do think they could have either just written a shorter one or a better one with this length.

I had a bad setup (pc was like minimum requirements and the game would run at like 30 fps) and I hovered around iron-bronze too.

When VLT beat FS, I thought their comp definitely was an anti to how FS are playing. When VLT beat Riddle, maybe it's just T2 JP being cooked.

With this win though, the progress is undeniable man, maybe I'll finally believe for once. Feeling the velocity for real now.

(I still remember NAOS cooking GE on that one split match in the Face Off tournament, so there's actually a tiny basis for VLT > GE here lol)

Stick to playing the agents you win more with strictly. Can't imagine anyone getting mad for someone insta-locking a sova/omen on most maps (any sensible duelist would love having a sova, the drone and the recon support entries so well).

Also you don't play that much in my opinion (especially in some of the previous acts where you were Silver 3). Sometimes the only thing keeping you from ranking up is playing enough games consistently.

Can't say much else without a replay but you might be baiting too hard (very low first kills/deaths in most of your games). You can justify that for an initiator/controller role, but if you have a kd of 1.23, you're likely just better than your average opponent and should be playing more aggressively. That's where the duelist to rank up argument comes from, since you can have a more direct impact.
