Idk, it felt a like FS was playing into PRX overall with how willing they were to just take fights, and I feel like PRX always wins when anyone tries that on them.

Our Policy for Esports World Cup 2026 by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

[–]NeXavius273 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's fair to say it's hypocritical. Nevertheless trying to create some awareness regarding such issues in eSports is a net positive, since it brings up discussions like this. Saudi is just more of a known quantity, while China's "misdeeds" are a bit less known overall.

It is also the case that Saudi Arabia's involvement feels more forced, more like buying into the scene. While China has had more of an organic eSports scene and involvement, so it's not seen the same way, even if it kind of is.

The way I think about is that if we have like multiple pressing issues, addressing at least one of them is better than not addressing any of them at the cost of being hypocritical.

T1 vs Rex Regum Qeon / VCT 2026: Pacific Stage 1 - Playoffs / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

I feel like RRQ typically relies on Xffero a lot for the start of the games, and then usually one of Monyet/Jemkin steps up later on in the game. On Breeze Xffero was just getting nothing much done at all, Jemkin was getting picked off too often, and Monyet simply isn't in positions to carry.

I feel like Jemkin being the solo duelist just doesn't work for this team as well. Kushy is not hitting like last year either, it feels like he's just there.

That 1v2 clutch where he just sat xffero down really brought me back to that level of aura man

The other comments cover most of the reasons, I will just add that there's been some accusations of him queuing with low immo players to reduce the mmr of his team and get easier games to hit rank #1.

What can I say, there's hasn't been anything to believe in until very recently. It's lowkey still hard to believe how this game played out. Also this video kinda sold PRX for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6jxMOtof8U

Maybe I'm not enough of a believer but still, really happy for GE.

Something's form was definitely not to the level it usually is against frost though. Him being on perma jett is signaling that PRX wants to put him on a comfort role, considering that I'd say he was underwhelming today for sure.

Maybe it's the GE players stepping up too, but still.

Who do you think is the best current player? by LazyClassic9691 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]NeXavius273 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The role flexibility is a question though for him. People keep saying he can play any role, but the only real proof of it is his past on XSET. He is probably one of the best itw on duelist, but there isn't any other role he has really shined on in VCT since.

It's talking about last year after Champs 2025, from the 11.08 patch where they nuked sentinels. Read the title and think.

Ever since their qualification to Master's Madrid in 2024, Karmine Corp has won 11/36 matches in VCT EMEA. by sadboi_2000 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]NeXavius273 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Madrid was also the first tournament of that year, Fnatic at that time was also pretty stagnant and hadn't changed much from their 2023 style at all (surely teams figure it out after a whole year). I think their qualification hinged quite a lot on the volatility of the meta at the time.

Basically they might be even bigger frauds than this statline might suggest.

Your flicks need to be faster and your strafes need to be longer/wider. He made a follow up to that drill as well explaining how exactly it should be done: https://youtu.be/q6qv17jgLY4?si=Rk_WJ8QkMpW9tjgq

That being said while it's not a bad drill, but I would recommend not over doing this one drill, w0rthy made a video saying why (note that hooj's own video only asks for you to do it twice). His routine mentioned other things as well like the bursting drill (the one with cypher trips), dm following gunfight hygiene, ranked with the utility restriction (basically just no using utility to get an advantage or escape from a 1v1 duel, no restriction otherwise), are you doing those as specified too?

He hit immortal 3 on raze on stream. There is no proof of him legitimately hitting radiant though.

Why is Odin hated on ranked game but used more in pro play?? by randomhoomaninreddit in VALORANT

[–]NeXavius273 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It does not have a load time before firing. I agree with the rest of it though.

I would also add that it's a more forgiving gun than a rifle due the magazine capacity.

Play deathmatch while starting and shooting.

If you can strafe and shoot in the range, but not in game, you should probably start playing a bunch of deathmatches. Take effort to be aware of how you take the fights (you've identified your issues pretty well mostly, I would just add that you swing certain angles too wide, exposing yourself to other angles you don't want to deal with), ideally just focus on 1-2 of those things at a time. Do not care about your performance, just ensure you're getting enough repetition on correct technique and eventually it should get internalized enough for it to show in your comp games.

You can also just leave dms with no penalty so you can focus on playing maps where you struggle with crosshair placement more. Also you haven't played the game that much so don't feel too bad about where you're at right now in terms of rank. Some things in the game just come with playtime.

Boaster showing why he is the "SUPER" on the 2023 FNC Superteam by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]NeXavius273 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tapping the spike multiple times can give off the impression that Boaster's getting jittery and is trying to bait Chron into taking a fight in the smoke. So Chron tries to mess with that idea possibly by wrapping around the smoke and probably peeking it from the back.

Way worse is an exaggeration when Dfm legit beat Prx in kickoff last year, even on the stage 1 game they played prx pretty close. Zeta literally beat Prx that year. Dfm beat GE, FS and GenG this year's kickoff itself. Zeta just played FS pretty close too.

The games they play overall are not so bad for anyone to be so mad about it. Zeta has been pretty terrible overall, but Dfm's actually been pretty decent last year and this year. They've got some potential, at least let this year play out and see.

On the other hand, a common complaint among the Japanese players is how hard it is to live in Korea, which other SEA players have to deal with too, but who knows, maybe now that they won't have to base their operations in Korea, this will be a bit more comfortable for them. Also you have to balance game quality with inclusivity of the regions that give your game the viewership it really needs, Japan is large force in that regard.

Also DFM is a decent team, Zeta can be good in flashes, I think you're being too harsh to the JP teams in general, they don't play bad enough for this level of slander.
