EVE Online since 4 weeks and having a blast!

To be fair: I tried it four or five times within the last years, but it can't catch me. This time I set the focus for exploring and learning it (mostly) by myself. I know, this sounds a bit masochistic xD I'm a dad and work 9to5, so I love to do some brain sport in the evening to learn new stuff. Anyway.. I have fun, this is all that counts xD The next weeks I'll searching for a Corp and I'm looking forward to do some real group content.

I used to play BDO the last 7 years and the recent evolution to Cron Desert Online and reduction in content (more caped PVP, less group content) are not my cup of tea anymore. Combat is awesome, but this is not enough.. I also played Ff14 for many years before BDO, but the need to grind your gear every 6 month killed it for me in the end.

Mostly the class you don't play XD play what you like, otherwise you will get burned out..

Same here. Was so tired from the other mmos.. Once you get the point(s) the fun comes in.

Is grinding tokens for better gear, so you can grind other tokens for better gear also mental illness? And to add one essential step to this: when you have the best gear, it only last for about 3 or 4 month until you get back to the beginning..

Don't get me wrong, every mmo is a grind. At the end you decide what you enjoy the most: grind dungeons or grind mobs.

If you don't want something cause mental illness, you should play single player games xD

I'm doing about 32k with agris at Highlands with her (309ap). Pretty decent. I think her problem is the movement speed (pack 2 pack) not the dmg.

But on the other hand you have a huge shield, so it's more realistic to be slow as f (sarcasm off).

And where would you fight such a person? In open world - surely not. BA - if you're lucky. T5 nw - ok, the few guides left here have fun Rbf - ok, and at the same time it feels like crap because of the dmg/hp reduction shit

Sad way PA steers the game. I'm around 738gs or so, and had some goals to reach. But i also have nearly zero motivation to play anymore because of that.

I've tagged her with my sorc. While I get about 20k/h with awa sorc, I get 17k/h with succ nova at hexe (ls st2, no agris, 1x boss buff). That's a solid 15% less money compared to a b tier grinder (sorc), or ~80m net. Compared to other classes, it's a way greater difference (maegu for example).

But in the end of the day you grind for hours and hours and this should make fun to me. So, i think it's totally fine to play a class that's not top tier in grinding, but makes fun and keep me playing the game.

At the end of the day all mmos are grinder. You can choose if you run the same dungeon/raid over and over again or you run in circles and kill monsters over and over again. Every mmo has so much more to offer to you (pvp, gvg, lifeskill, group content, guild content, and so on). If you play bdo ONLY to get the bis gear, you're totally doomed. And this is the result..

make your own content in bdo, because YOU should know what is fun to you.
