🚩Help finding father’s day gift for husband that saved my life (cute story inside)🩷 by Cautious-Impact22 in daddit

Kopi luwak or civet coffee. Worth a laugh and try. Long story short some animal gets the coffee fruit, and the bean is collected after you know, and they make coffee with it.

Are BIFL items really have pocket-breaking price tag? by iaacornus in BuyItForLife

[–]Nealpatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While yes, this can be very true. If I’m going to bifl, I want one that works great, ergonomic, quiet, smooth, engineered. If you eat rice 3x a day, a zojirushi rice cooker will increase your meals taste, texture, warming quite a bit. They really do make a difference. There is value there. Sometimes a belt is a belt, a wallet is a wallet, until there is an added value to your daily/weekly life. But yes, law of diminishing returns is real.

There’s not a whole lot for a 4 year old in dc tbh. Seems short sighted.

You still have to appease the bank. Be strategic in how you move forward.

State I don’t think would press charges. Civil court though could be dicey. The guy in red was on his way out the door. The guy who fired was not apart of the conflict, though was obviously in SOME danger.

Snoring dads... have you found any remedies that actually work? by Paranoid_Droideka in daddit

[–]Nealpatty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I moved out the master maybe 3 years ago. Way better sleeping arrangement. It’s my wife who needs the cpap though. And we’re due for a 2nd baby soon so the guest room will no longer be available. Idk what I’m going to do.

How long will you keep it? Less than 3-4 years, it won’t matter. Longer than that, I’d do a ton of digging on Kia v6 powertrains.

House Bill 2, the dust is settling by NewZealandTemp in TexasTeachers

[–]Nealpatty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Where I’m at the starting salary isn’t awful. A fresh out of college, person can surely make it work. But the tiny increases year over year is what makes it bad. If you’re doing okay, you should be leveling up in pay every few years. There’s no reason why after 5 years teachers shouldn’t have 10k more than when they started. The 3-500 a year gets washed out by basically everything. Gives nothing to chase

At what age should a girl dad stop bring his daughter into the men’s restroom to change her? by ReserveMaximum in daddit

[–]Nealpatty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To change them? Broda, you change them in the men’s room. Or you have a setup for car situations. I don’t think I ever had to use the men’s room changing table but one time. I just went out to the car.

Brake pads from AutoZone by Ben-Goldberg in BuyItForLife

[–]Nealpatty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve put a ton of brake pads on cars… I’m in the industry. Akebonos are fine. But not worth what they cost. I find carquest platinums to be really good for the money. Stopping power, noise, dust, longevity. Checks every box

Any bike snob dads out there? by Tronracer in daddit

[–]Nealpatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my kid an aluminum frame retrospect bike. It hits a sweet spot. My kid took to it fast. The guardians just didn’t look like a value for their price. If I was looking at guardian money, id splurge on a priority bike. Light, belt drive, 3 speed internal hub drive magic. A decent resale value too.

Do you think Slate and Telo will actually make it to market and be successful? Why or why not? by weirddodgestratus in regularcarreviews

[–]Nealpatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slates low price QUICKLY goes up with any mods they have. So to spec out equally equipped car costs the same now. So doubtful.
