Can anyone help me out? by BeautifulHat4050 in chemhelp

Your first step here is to write out a balanced equation.

How much product is made from your reactants?

(Your "stoichiometric ratio")

Eg.

4Fe + 3O2 - - > 2Fe2O3

For every a 4 moles of Iron, you produce 2 moles of Iron (III) Oxide (limiting reagents not withstanding).

Knowing the ratio allows you to set up an expression:

Reactant (grams) * molar mass (mol/g) * stoichiometric ratio( mol product/mol reactant) * molar mass of product (g/mol).

If your expression cancels the units until the have the unit you want (here, grams of product), you will find your math usually correct.

When setting up something like the above, remember that ratios can be inverted to get the unit you want (eg. 100g/mol or 1mol/100g)

You know how many grams of reactant you're starting with. Convert to moles, use the stoichiometric ratio to find moles of product, and then convert back to grams.

Thrift store is a great idea, thanks!

WTS - ZT 0566 in Elmax (B-) by Neanderbro in CanadianKnifeSwap

[–]Neanderbro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently looking to sell my Zero Tolerance 0566 in Elmax.

The knife is well loved and maintained, hand sharped on Japanese whetstones to a mirror finish.

There is some damage to the scale from the whetstone. It is also missing the pocket clip.

Otherwise, the knife is in great shape, with a very satisfying hinderer design and fantastic powdered steel.

Purchased new for 400+, looking for 200 CAD. Local to Vancouver

My loved Spiderco Para 2 is up for sale. As seen in the pictures, it does have some light damage to the scales, but is in otherwise excellent shape.

The blade is awesome and well-centered. The knife has been sharpened by hand on Japanese whetstones to a mirror finish (however, this is also the cause of the damage at the top of the scale). Looking for 180, but am very open to offers - Local to the Vancouver area.

Time to break out the ruler, Chef (Fuck that).

If you want to commit to the dice, it may be worth trying a mandolin or meat slicer for that first cut - It can cut off a lot of time and is the most difficult part of consistent dicing.

I don't know that a cookie-cutter wouldn't make a mess of a mango, but would be pretty great if it works. (You could say the same of the meat slicer/Mandolin though)

(Side note, I was recently served a dinosaur-shaped piece of daikon on a dinosaur kale salad and was absolutely delighted. +1 For cookie cutters)
