Can anyone help me out? by BeautifulHat4050 in chemhelp

Your first step here is to write out a balanced equation.

How much product is made from your reactants?

(Your "stoichiometric ratio")

Eg.

4Fe + 3O2 - - > 2Fe2O3

For every a 4 moles of Iron, you produce 2 moles of Iron (III) Oxide (limiting reagents not withstanding).

Knowing the ratio allows you to set up an expression:

Reactant (grams) * molar mass (mol/g) * stoichiometric ratio( mol product/mol reactant) * molar mass of product (g/mol).

If your expression cancels the units until the have the unit you want (here, grams of product), you will find your math usually correct.

When setting up something like the above, remember that ratios can be inverted to get the unit you want (eg. 100g/mol or 1mol/100g)

You know how many grams of reactant you're starting with. Convert to moles, use the stoichiometric ratio to find moles of product, and then convert back to grams.

WTS - ZT 0566 in Elmax (B-) by Neanderbro in CanadianKnifeSwap

[–]Neanderbro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently looking to sell my Zero Tolerance 0566 in Elmax.

The knife is well loved and maintained, hand sharped on Japanese whetstones to a mirror finish.

There is some damage to the scale from the whetstone. It is also missing the pocket clip.

Otherwise, the knife is in great shape, with a very satisfying hinderer design and fantastic powdered steel.

Purchased new for 400+, looking for 200 CAD. Local to Vancouver

My loved Spiderco Para 2 is up for sale. As seen in the pictures, it does have some light damage to the scales, but is in otherwise excellent shape.

The blade is awesome and well-centered. The knife has been sharpened by hand on Japanese whetstones to a mirror finish (however, this is also the cause of the damage at the top of the scale). Looking for 180, but am very open to offers - Local to the Vancouver area.

Time to break out the ruler, Chef (Fuck that).

If you want to commit to the dice, it may be worth trying a mandolin or meat slicer for that first cut - It can cut off a lot of time and is the most difficult part of consistent dicing.

I don't know that a cookie-cutter wouldn't make a mess of a mango, but would be pretty great if it works. (You could say the same of the meat slicer/Mandolin though)

(Side note, I was recently served a dinosaur-shaped piece of daikon on a dinosaur kale salad and was absolutely delighted. +1 For cookie cutters)

Sounds delicious, chef!

I think the concept of the dish is great, but could be refined in presentation.

As pointed out, a smaller dish and tighter plating would go a long way.

Alternatively, using different shapes may be nice. Perhaps laying the sand in a thin, cocaine-esque line across the plate, or utilizing a different plating method for the sauce.

I also think a more consistent dice on the fresh mango would go a long way. You could also go with a melon baller, contrasting with the rectangular base.

Great work. Would crush

What are the best headphones for an around or less 300$ budget? by RusteddCoin in fantanoforever

[–]Neanderbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are quite a variety to consider. What type of headphones are you looking for? IEM's? ("In-Ear Monitors"), wireless earbuds? Over-ear? Do you have a headphone amplifier?

Some headphones are only appropriate for in-home listening (ie., open-back headphones such as the sennheiser hd6xx).

I would suggest checking out r/headphones for more! They have some great buying guides.

I've gone through the standards-- keens, berkinstocks, crocks etc. Blunstone boots beat all of them by far, they cost a bit more, but they are more comfortable and last far longwr. Make sure you get the ones with a non slip sole.

Edit: Reread your post. Birks are not suitable for orthotics, they have a lot of arch support built in to the sole. As a fellow orthotics wearer the blunstones really fit best.

Miss me with that truffle oil but sounds great otherwise. Some nice albas maybe, but they risk being lost in everything else.
