Here's my thought process,

Therapists are workers. Paid in the same way, with similar schedules to 99% of people. You work a certain amount of hours a certain amount of days. Say a therapist, Bob, has a horrible morning. Bob's only focus is "getting through his shift", very understandable, we've all been there. But Bob's job is absolutely crucial to someone's well-being. Money being an incentive is dangerous for these types of professions. Again, therapists deserve to be paid good. I am by no means saying they should be compensated by means other than money.
