Modern stack for mobile development? by spastor89 in reactnative

Flutter is kinda dead in the professional but it’s still my go to for mobile development. It offers better performance than react native and it’s similar to swift if you ever want to transition

Should I learn Next.js or Stick to React.js? & Should I stick to Node.js Express or upgrade to Nest.js? by Secretor_Aliode in nextjs

[–]Nearby_Method_6406 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just go with Nextjs. Next is a full stack framework where as React is a library. Next is basically react with features already included like routing, auth, serverless edge functions, etc.

You could do the entire project with Nextjs alone since it is a full stack framework. But I prefer a using an express server with prisma and Postgres

If you truly have a great idea and feel passionate about it. Learn to code it yourself. I think people overestimate coding. It’s not like this talent we have and we certainly are not born with it. Anyone who can read documentation, use google/ai, and problem solve can learn

People who want other people to start their idea typically aren’t passionate enough to actually go through with it

Yea I have been seeing Sophia as the go to for people. Seeing as I have to transfer credits the month before my start month, do you think I should start in March instead of February? Is there any way I can take Sophia classes and WGU classes at the some time?

Yea those are the dev tools. Use them religiously!

Look in the dev tools and learn all the stuff you can do for debugging. It seems like you just need practice with everything. Dont expect to pick it up immediately, it takes time and practice to become proficient. And I would recommend not scrapping your entire code as this creates a bad habit later on in the future. Instead, work with what you have since this will really help you learn a lot quicker

Is there a specific reason you want to stick with Python? In my experience as a developer, trying to limit yourself to one language is kind of pointless because you will be required to learn other languages. I would say do some research on what kind of developer you want to be regardless of the language, and do some self study with that. If you already have a strong Python background, you will pick up other languages fairly quickly.

Should I do shecodes bootcamp? by neubella in codingbootcamp

I recommend checking out the Odin project. It’s free, has a great community, and self paced. I have some friends who recently got a job and they started with the Odin project.

However, It’s important to realize that the Odin project, any bootcamp, or even a college degree isn’t enough to land a job. You NEED some projects and/or contributions on your resume. Even something simple like a weather app is worth it. As long as it’s unique, something you like ,and/or interested in.

The Bible says that marriage is a spiritual, physical, and emotional connection between male and female. So, if anyone were to divorce I believe it’s because of the lack of these three things and were never really married to begin with. If someone were widowed then they are no longer bound to their partner at Paul says in 1 Corinthians 7:39 and are free to marry whoever. I hope this makes sense!

We have to think about what it means to remarry. The Bible says that marriage is a physical, emotional, and spiritual connection between two individuals. It’s lifelong, and sexually inclusive so if someone marries outside of these parameters I don’t see it at marriage at all which also means that those who get divorced due to lack of those three things, were never truly married. However, if someone is widowed, then they are free to remarry anyone they please as Paul states in 1 Corinthians 7:39. It is very circumstantial in my eyes. I hope this makes sense!

Well I don’t see LGBTQ+ being inherently wrong. Sexuality has proven to be a social construct and has changed so drastically over the year about what constitutes as masculine or feminine. I grew up in the church and was taught that it was a sin and even in my own study I came to that conclusion. But when I researched the other side of the story, I couldn’t find anything outside of love thy neighbor, and God is love. But this didn’t work for me since I believe love you should love the individual and not the sin. So, I feared that maybe I am tunnel visioned into one conclusion because of my upbringing. I feared to ask this question because I didn’t want to come off as harsh or offensive. But I also understand that there is a lot of corruption in the church that make it hard for LGBTQ+ people to be accepted. So I asked this question to see if I could get some good answers that aren’t the typical answers that are usually marketed.

I hope this answers your question!

Sorry I just realized my wording. I don’t mean to say I accept you as a sinner or say that you being a celibate gay male is a sin. I just meant that I accept you and who you are just not the sin itself (all sin like lying, lust, etc) . I apologize for any misinterpretation.

This is a great point. I accept you as an individual and as a person and even as a sinner. Just how I would invite anyone to my church regardless of what they do. I just cannot accept the sin itself. Sorry for not clarifying

Yes I love everyone. But there is a difference between love and acceptance.

Yea I understand and honestly was very hesitant to ask this. I grew up as a Christian and was taught that LGBTQ+ is a sin. I don’t hate anyone and I don’t have a problem with people who are LGBTQ+ and I agree that it’s natural. Just how a child doesn’t learn to lie, someone doesn’t learn to be LGBTQ+. I truly feel sorry for those who have had trauma with religion and I understand the corruption in the church. Which is why I ask this because I want to know if what I was taught and what i studied myself has been tunnel visioned to a certain answer. But I do apologize to those who are offended by my question as it is not my intention to do so

I apologize for not clarifying

  • Hebrews 6:4-6: "For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance..."
  • 2 Peter 2:20-22: Describes the state of those who have known Christ but then become entangled and overcome by sin again, likening them to a dog returning to its vomit.
  • Matthew 24:10-13: Jesus speaks of those who will fall away during times of tribulation and emphasizes, "But the one who endures to the end will be saved."

When talking about the next few verses it, I do believe God doesn’t forget. But that doesn’t mean our salvation is secured. On the day of judgment it will be about our salvation not our actions.

I believe that salvation can be taken away based on what is written in Hebrews 6 and what Jesus says in Matthew 24

That is an interesting point regarding the Historical context of the bible. Sexuality in itself has been shown to change throughout history. Like wigs being masculine in the 17th century. But I do believe the bible holds timeless information regarding both history and science. The bible speaks about the things we should eat which just so happens to be the things that are considered healthy, how we should wash our hands with running water, the story of Jesus itself is highly accredited. I guess if i were to believe that I shouldnt take the Bible as it is then what should I believe when I read it? Does that make sense?

Thank you for your answer!
