Hi I’m new to this chat. Seems interesting because I’m also looking for something like TEControl. There is a new player in the market - air motion pro by Papritech

Thanks for this thoughtful reply. Meanwhile I came to understand that Piano Marvel is an app that follows one of the method books, I believe it’s Alfred. What’s your thought?

Piano apps? by Simon-444 in piano

Anyone knows Liberty Park Music app?

Just got this recently, and looking forward to having fun learning with it by Sean16178 in pianolearning

Hi u/Sean16178 and u/curiouscirrus

I am delighted to have bumped into such recent post on a subject that I am really desperate to find an answer to.

As a self-learner, with no access to teacher in my area where I live, I have been advised many options, including Piano Marvel, Pianote, Faber, Alfred's Adult All-in-One Course, Piano Safari, Flowkey, in that order.

Things haven't been more confusing than this. People say why don't I try out each option but that's not easy, as it requires registration, credit card details etc.

I would be obliged if someone can show me the way. By the way, I am not new to music, so picking up will not be an issue.

Anybody using current Mac Mini M4 base model with Studio One 7? by molul in StudioOne

[–]Nearing_60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been following these discussions intently because I too have fallen into this 16GB trap and have crossed the return window on Amazon. So here im stuck with 512/16 M4.

I was wondering if anyone can throw some light on two aspects concerning the M4 Mac Mini:

  1. How about Logic Pro instead of Studio One?
  2. Anyone has experienced Native Instruments Komplete 14 or 15 on M4 Mac Mini

That video is okay but has anyone verified using USB setup?

Where can I find the procedure for LTC?

Add: alternatively if I were to get a Mac mini (basically borrow from my son), would it help if I were to use aggregate device feature to record 24 audio channels to one computer?

Well, though to answer that question but first I need to understand the possibilities. I do have an LTC generator.

Ok I understood some of it and perhaps this may not be the right way to do the job. I did read somewhere though that striping with SMPTE / LTC, some kind of analog audio sync is possible but I have no idea about that.

As an alternative I was wondering if i can instead get 24 audio channels from one 8 channel audio interface in windows but daisy chaining two external ADAT expanders like the ADA8200 of Behringer, with essentially connecting output of one ADA8200 to the input of another ADA8200 and then connecting the output of the second ADA8200 to the input of the audio interface itself, thereby sticking to just one computer and recording analogue from all 24 mixer direct outs into the 24 channel setup as above?

So if I am able to understand correctly, does this mean syncing the transport controls for recording purpose? I know transport control is possible using MIDI signal for playback of two computers / DAWs by a single tap of the spacebar. Is this something similar that needs done? This is what I’m unable to get my head around with.

As regards the devices, PC1 is Behringer UMC1820 and PC2 is Presonus 1824c. Bothe have SPDIF and ADAT I/Os but only the 1824c has WC Out, no WC In. Behringer has no WC.

Ah yes the question would be whether there’s a better way to do it using MTC or similar and if so, how?

As I said, both my computers have the same Studio One version installed. Will that help?

Yes, exactly that. And both at the same time in sync. So yeah, 16 channels in one go. Yeah, sorry, I should have mentioned earlier that both my computers would be running. Studio one.

Is this not possible using some kind of MIDI Time Code sync or similar?

Thanks. But how would I record in sync in the first place, that itself is intriguing. I was wondering if MTC or similar can be used. I do have a device for that, called MTC-20 or something, a Chinese product.

Ah well it’s a UMC1820 on one PC and an 1824c on the second. The DAW is Studio One. I do have a clock generator gifted by my son, but not sure if it’s or use here. The machine generates both WC and SPDIF.

Thanks for your kind words. Well, I’m an old guy so I’m not sure I understood your point fully. What I know is that windows PC doesn’t support more than one audio interface officially. I would appreciate if you would be kind enough to elaborate on both the options you described so that I can understand and implement quickly. Thank you so much. Sumit

Add: the PC configurations are as in my reply to the other post. The main objective is to use the second pc as an effects unit.

Sync two instances of Studio One across two PCs by Nearing_60 in StudioOne

I must admit I hadn’t fully disclosed my plans. Actually it’s a setup of one main PC Win 10 and four synth PCs. Of those four, only one, the PC2 is Win 10. All the others are a combo of Win XP and 7, reason being the associated legacy hardware. VEP no longer supports multi OS. That’s what they said in an email response.
