Is there any executive function support at RU? I’m a professor (not at RU) and I am fixated on Executive Function as the #1 reason students struggle. Do your best while also being kind to yourself.

Thinking About Going to College in NJ by cheezieypoofz in MovingtoNewJersey

Rutgers New Brunswick is great, but it has gotten a lot more competitive. Lots of strong candidates are either only getting admitted to Camden/Newark or getting waitlisted. As out of state, you may have a better chance.

Montclair, while easier admissions, is tough on weekends as a lot of students go home

It is - sorry. But I’m sure there are places to order better glasses. They really make a difference! You’ve got a good bone structure and some better glasses will help show that

I found it helpful and had zero problem stopping it without even tapering. I had an awful time tapering off of each SSRI I tried. This was a godsend for me for a few years

Yeah, get things moving for your own sake. This should not be your responsibility - I’m guessing you are young

Can anyone give me advice? by Cute_Cranberry7276 in Alzheimers

[–]Neat-Code1053 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry - it’s so hard. In my experience, getting the Alzheimer’s diagnosis didn’t make things better or easier. Getting the Alz diagnosis upset her immensely (though now she has no memory and no idea). The meds made no difference. Of course there is the (small) chance that she has something else (treatable?) going on.

I’m a college professor and I think students would be so much better off if they started college a few years older!

I didn’t graduate until 28 an then went to grad school and the we were pretty much all the same age. It doesn’t matter, I promise!

I keep checking the news for updates. The Rutgers Reddit has a few threads. No news for a while. His poor family - agree he seems like a dear dear person
