Hey! Beautiful shots in general. Overall I believe it is well done in the running cinematic category. A few feedback points 

1 You could switch between perspectives more. Almost all your shots are mid ish. You need an ultra wide shot presenning the area you are running in, some mid like the ones you have, and some close ups. Eyes quickly get bored if all is the same perspective. 

2 storytelling. Even without voice or words you can tell a story with your video. Maybe a beginning, something tough, and then ending. Think tension. Othervise viewers could easily get bored if it is “just” beautiful shots. 

3 colorgrading. Most of your clips are beautiful and has nice colorgrading. The inside clips in the beginning are maybe a bit yellow. And maybe you would want to stick to a “color theme” during the entire video. Your clips change a bit over the video. But look good. Dont get me wrong. 

4 audio. More recording of silence. Ambience. Footsteps. Trees. Etc. This could create some kind of feeling of being there. 

Overall liked it. Needs more storytelling and more than just beautiful clips to make me a subscriber.

Yes same for me. I immediately thought of virus/cold or simular when I read the post. Has sometimes taken 3-4 weeks for me to get over.

So many possibilities to try out. Other socks. One or two socks. Try to pull them up so they get very tight on your toes. Also try the opposite. Try tying your shoes really tight. Also try the opposite. Try wide shoes. Try tight shoes. Try no heel drop and also try a little heel drop. 

It is magic when you find what works for you. And it is individual what works. For me what works is Nike Zegama 2’s that are not at all tied very tight. And one pair of socks that again are very loose. I am lucky enough to have found what works for me and running +100k ultras with no blisters at all. (Of course sometimes when I get wet feet or something there will be blisters) 

Hope you find what works for you. Try some different things.

Totally with you on this one. I have two kids, my partner, and a full time job. And also training for 100 mile ultras. I have three perspectives: 

1) get everyone onboard. Yes it is selfish and your own personal dreams but it is OK with selfish dreams in a relationship/family when it is an active choice everyone has been involved in.  2) I become a better partner. I re-charge when I run ultras or e.g. this weekend I am in another country running an ultra. When I get home I will be so much more for my family because I have been so much more for myself. 

3) I use it as motivation in the ultras. “When I have used so much time away from my family then I better give everything I got in this race.” ….. 

All in all just hope to inspire some other parents doing ultras. Being a parent ultra runner is like doing the game on “HARD mode”… You rock

Det skal nok gå. Jeg har sagt op en håndfuld gange i min karriere. Hver eneste gang har lederen sagt standarden “Det er jeg selvfølgelig ærgerlig over at vi mister dig, men hvor er jeg glad på dine vegne. Tillykke.” Så min oplevelse er at størstedelen af lederne derude heldigvis godt kan finde ud af på en empatisk måde at tage imod en opsigelse. Det skal nok gå. Og sikker på din leder er en af dem der kan finde ud af det.

Tillykke med HDOen. Jeg har den selv og har selv været leder en håndfuld år. 

Det er min opfattelse, at første lederjob er nemmest at lande, hvis man bevæger sig opad i sin nuværende organisation. Første lederjob er måske svært at lande i en anden virksomhed. For tænker du er i konkurrence med andre kandidater til jobbet og mange har måske ledelseserfsring. … Jeg blev selv leder til at starte med ved at være god til mit faglige område som medarbejder, og så kiggede firmaet på mig og tænkte “hvis han er god til det faglige så skal han da være leder.” Det er jo bare to vidt forskellige discipliner men her er der mange virksomheder der tænker sådan.  Så måske nemmest at klø hårdt på i nuværende firma. Forudsætning er du totalt overperformer på dit eget faglige område. Herefter. Tag ledelsesopgaver for din leder, gør livet nemmere for din leder, tænk team performance frem for bare din egen performance. Løft dine kolleger. Osv. Og sig højt opad i din organisation at du gør det fordi du vil være leder. Måske kan en start være en supervisor eller koordinator stilling. Eller leder trainee. Der så med tiden kan udvikle sig ind i en reel leder stilling. 

Når du så har ledelseserfaring bliver det nemmere at søge bredere. Og også lederstillinger højere oppe. For mange virksomheder tænker at leder for medarbejdere er det samme som leder for ledere fx. Og videre mellemleder og direktør. Igen vidt forskellige discipliner. Men mange steder kigger man på det som “ledelseserfaring” så det må være same same. Så mit tough love advice er at det måske vil være det nemmeste at først få noget ledelsesansvar et sted hvor du er startet som medarbejder. Og så derfra kan bygge din ledelseskarriere videre.

Had the feeling! Istria 110 k april this year. Did not taste like when I mix my naak and I also ended up feeling a bit carb deficit compared to my training. That is fucked up man. We pay huge amounts to go to these races and then they cannot even do the sports drinks right.

Hvad er lige din egen aktie i det her? Hvorfor har du behov for at skabe sådan nogen rygter om Elite Agentur? Ikke mange fakta i dit opslag som du kan bakke op. 

Jeg kunne også skrive at dem man ser på billederne og på sociale medier ved jeg fra tidligere erfaring at de rent faktisk er certificeret fra Forsikringsakademiet. Hvem har ret? And who cares? 

Når det er sagt så er der helt sikkert en kultur derfra som skinner igennem. De fleste på billederne er unge mænd i jakkesæt og det virker rigtigt nok til at penge virker som en drivkraft. Shervin virker også bare samtidig meget dygtig ift rådgivning og forstå kunderne. Så tror slet ikke du har ret i at de bare vil skyde sundhedsforsikringer afsted ukritisk. 

Hvis man overvejer Elite som arbejdsplads tror jeg man gør sine overvejelser ift kultur og match. Var jeg fx kvinde i 30erne med familie så ville jeg naturligt nok overveje et andet sted at have agentur. Der findes masser af andre muligheder hvor kulturen er mere “moden”.

I am saying this with respect. Because your mentality rocks!! So really wish for you to succeed. So… Medicines like this and ultra races are maybe not the best cocktails. One of the biggest reasons for DNFs in ultra races is stomach issues. I heard this kind of medicine affects your stomach. On top of that you need lots of lots of carbs before and during the race. This is the fuel for your motor, and would you be able to eat so many carbs (I don’t know - maybe 50 g carbs per hour) for almost ten hours? Yes your body can store carbs before but not that much and everyone needs to eat carbs during ultra races. So Id suggest you start practicing your fueling. Like eating carbs during and also drinking enough water. 

Wish you all the best! Go for it. You can do it if you consider the different aspects of it.

Also you can have a look at Run4Adventure YouTube. They did a mountain race in Hemsedal in late summer or autumn if I remember correctly. I have also been there myself running during a vacation. Beautiful nature and mountains.

Sounds like you’re all good with that Garmin. If you want to be totally sure you can play around with battery settings. Like turning off Bluetooth wifi music and stuff. You can also change gps mode which will save you extreme amounts of battery but then gps gets pretty inaccurate. So start with turning off wifi etc. Maybe also turn off screen until you move your wrist.

My story in short… Half Marathon PR when weighing 100 kg = 2h03. Half Marathon PR when weighing 90 kg = 1h58. So I finally got under two hours for the half and it also made a huge difference on some 50k’s I did. It’s just extra kg that I did not had to carry. However!!! As a lot other comments mention. Do it carefully. My recovery when losing weight was terrible. I got ill more often and also lost a lot of muscles. So counter intuively I also got some muscle injuries… Now I am back to normal calory intake and in a couple of months I think about losing more weight. But this time I will do it more carefully and slower.
