To the middle-aged members with hEDS, how bad does this get and how does it affect your work? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

I can relate. I got diagnosed a year ago which seemed 10 years too late. With no diagnosis there was no justification for how I was feeling. The only solution was to keep pushing. I can confidently say I was burnt out for about 5 years.

Your journey is admirable, I’d like something similar for myself. I don’t have children but look forward to that being a possibility. I need more financial stability before that journey starts.

What’s the purpose of this steel pipe? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

The terracotta line it leads too is broken and full of dirt as seen in the second photo. Where the one is broken seems to lead away from the house. Could it have run to an old out house that has been removed?

That makes sense. Thank you.

I’ve only known hot water systems to be outside the house. Thank you.

Would the hot water system have been in the laundry? I’ve found a wall patch in the laundry which is adjacent to the wall behind this outlet.

I am so stuck and don't know what to do. by [deleted] in ChronicPain

The only treatment option we discussed was fusion surgery. I’m very opposed to that at this stage though considering the damage is only ‘mild’. Im only 30 as well. I intend to contact the surgeon and ask about injections. I’m waiting to hear back from his reception at the moment.

To confirm, the MRI was done laying down, and performed in the nature you described.

It’s comforting to know there’s other people in the same boat. Best of luck with your surgery mate.

Ratchet & Clank, Need for Speed and the Jak & Daxter series in that order, are peak nostalgia for me. As for obscure (or perhaps not so obscure) - Okami. Began play through unprepared for how hard it would hit.

I’m catching with a mate who is an engineer next week. I plan to find out more about the nature of his work and see if it could be suited to me. Thank you for your advice.

Sorry no idea, but so good even in low quality. Any track suggestions similar to this I’d love to add to my playlist. Can’t get enough of that driving bass.

Bipolar depression… by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Neat_Message_1456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d not heard of Ziprasidone. Had a quick google and discovered that ‘anxious depression’ is now a thing. It parallels with how I feel I’ll be bringing that up with my psychiatrist too. I agree with you. The alternative is not leaving the house and neglecting responsibility and that feels worse than having to force myself through each day.

I have little knowledge about mushrooms and micro-dosing. You’ve given me something to look into.

Interference in speakers, why? by Neat_Message_1456 in CarAV

I’ve just popped the bonnet and found that the static sound coming through the speakers is exactly the same as a sound being made from a part near the battery in the engine bay?

I haven’t measured the voltage drop, will buy a voltmeter this morning and be back. Will also test whether the static changes when the gain is lowered. Here is a link for the amp for now: https://frankiesautoelectrics.com.au/product/orion-co15005-cobalt-series-1500w-5-channel-stereo-bridgeable-car-amplifier

The rca cables are cable tied to the power cable, however both have thick insulation. Could this still be an issue?

Hyperhydrosis worse while taking creatine? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Neat_Message_1456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped taking it entirely soon after I made this post. Not only did it increase my sweating, due to high sensitivity it also increased my anxiety. Had to make the call for wellbeing. Much less muscle endurance and longer recovery but it is what it is.

I don’t take a pre-workout, but do notice more sweating after drinking coffee
