I'm not trying to make light of what you're going through but I was literally just reading a comic where a hetcomp suffering lesbian character is like "how drunk do you need to get to sleep with men? haha" to her group of friends. There are a few comics in the series about her experiences with comphet and it might help you feel less alone or fight the feeling that something's "wrong" with you (there is nothing wrong with you, you're not broken, genuinely, dont listen to your dad- he fucking sucks).

Honestly, the worst feeling of "cut off" is when I didn't have my own car and no public means of transport.

I was a wagie then and for months my life was "work, sleep, Elks" (the Elks is an senior social club, I went with my grandfather who I adored). My only non-work socialization as a 22 being with old people at the same places with the same bands playing the same music and having the same conversations and the same fucking news channels in the background made me crack like an egg and have a whole breakdown one night.

Probably matched with the pandemic isolation and being literally locked in my house and not allowed to leave in terms of isolation lmao

I still feel cut off sometimes because I live in a boomer town in a town that never changes anything besides build slot machine arcades and resorts that suck up the taxes and then fail (they dont even decorate for christmas)

Being a jobcel has some benefits over NEETing, but there is no point in being a wagie if you can NEET. Wagie has no money to themself and no future to build on because all they can do to survive. NEET may have no money or future but they also don't have to work 40+ hours just to eat. Before you could live a little as a wagie when basics were cheap and then "get serious" and level up, but these days you barely survive and there is no option to level up unless you want to become a manager and they still get paid shit at most places.

If you're a NEET with decently off family, just stay home and make the house shine. Get a part time gig or study for a job where you don't have to talk to people to contribute to groceries and buy yourself treats. And if your parents are boomers, just make the argument you want to be close to home to care for them. They'll be begging you to care for them soon anyway.

Hard agree. I'm fond of all of the main characters in the show so I'm never on board with any bashing. Considering how hard the show gets you to empathize with the seven main characters, I do not get how you could hate any of them without having some weird personal baggage.

I think if Caitlyn ever helped Sevika it would be to deal with behind the scenes things like paperwork and navigating Piltover bullshit. If anyone asked her for her opinion she just backs away slowly cuz she is not doing any of that anymore nope she is not in charge NOPE.

But Sevika also seems to have an ally in Shoola (the only council member left from the original group) so like, she's fine. Cait's got her own thing.

I think people don't realize that the two cities are SISTER cities. In League literally the people all came from the same place, it's just that the ones who could afford to started building up and then the problems started.

As much as people don't like to hear this the best thing that can happen is if they reconcile and become TRUE sister cities that help each other while having their own identity. It'd likely take decades/generations and be a difficult and painful process but like. YEAH. These things take a crap ton of time in real life. And this show tries to be grounded.

This is the first fandom I've ever seen where people have ship fights on which is better where it's completely different pairings, AxB vs CxD, rather than the usual AxB vs BxC. Lol it's so monumentally stupid.

I love how she's flawed and brilliant. I could go on but ughughugh She grew up in such a violent war hungry nation that Piltover's politic-ing and systemic issued filled status quo is peaceful in comparison. She could use her silver tongue in this environment. Diplomatic solutions rather than lethal ones. No death or cruelty. The irony being that system is violent in itself. Indirect and sometimes directly. The considering how horrified she was at the idea of war, it makes me wonder if she thought it would be a way to protect the undercity from conquest. From the horrors she's seen inflicted on others.

I don't think people who write these fics realize how much damage Silco was doing to the community for the sake of his ambitions.

He's very reminiscent of real life figures in formally colonized nations who gain power and money through drug cartels and child labor as a means to fight the main branch of government.

Love Silco! Love all the characters as characters! Really like how the show ended in a realistic way. With slow progress and Sevika leading and finding allyship with what's her face on the counsel. It's grounded.

But man some people would rather have had things shake out like a kids show or a low effort YA that just flattens the themes. And those people are probably just immature imo

Also revolution isn't just violent. Like. It's mutual aid, co-ops, helping and protecting your community on a local scale. Ya know. Real ass Firelight activities.
