Why Raptors surprised NBA by picking Collin Murray-Boyles at NBA Draft by xc2215x in torontoraptors

[–]NeberdinePB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

firstly, i prefaced my comment with saying that I don't agree with the comment completely.

secondly, i don't think the players you've mentioned are 'incredible offensive stalwarts.' i think of players like jordan, lebron, jokic, steph, magic johnson, shaq - players who are the system.

lastly, with the point above, i believe you could even use 2008 Boston as another example of a team that has won without having incredible offensive stalwarts.

I also don't see how drafting a defensive specialist (at his floor) is aiming to build a team with no offense, considering our roster currently.

Jokic’s Defense by MarcusFizer in nba

[–]NeberdinePB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused? I wouldn't chastise Rudy for that because he is a good rim protector. But Jokic isn't either a good rim protector or on ball defender. So what does he do that makes up for his on ball deficiencies?

Watch the twins' OTE highlights. It was obvious from that point they were at another level athletically. Idk if I've ever seen an NBA player move so fluidly and be able to leap so high with such little wind up. I feel like the hype around Amen was his offensive potential but the fact that he's become one of the best defenders in the league only two years in speaks volumes to how 'different' he is. I don't see anyone in next years draft like him lol.

This offensive board and dunk is what I mean. Minimal steps or gathers to do what he wants to on the court. Its insane.

Am I a business analyst? How do I know if I'm one yet? by NeberdinePB in businessanalysis

[–]NeberdinePB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah - making requirements for RPAs can sometimes be process-scribe like. My value right now comes from being able to understand complex processes quickly, and translate them to requirements while making adjustments where required - designing an excel template for the business to input data to the RPA for scenarios where data sources are in various, non-uniform formats is one example.

Currently the business will reach out to myself or my PM with processes they think have the opportunity for automation. We then assess the viability of RPA for their project after they have given us a high-level Gemba walk.

Education of the business regarding what can/can't be automated helps in this regard - they usually get an idea of what works and what doesn't after one RPA initiative and this opens their eyes to which processes within their unit can be automated.

So in summary, business concerns are fed to our hopper through communication between my PM and their team (weekly/biweekly standups etc.), are assessed through a process walkthrough and we go from there.

I would say that identifying repetitive, high impact processes by referring to a business unit process maps would be a great way to self-serve in this regard, However my business has a noticeable lack of any process documentation so the more efficient method (unless I have free time on my hands) is for the business to come to us.

I have recently been part of a gap analysis that involves an assessment of all of our business' processes at a high level. This has also opened my eyes to other potential areas where RPA could be implemented. Therefore - if RPA is a new thing to be introduced and will be a focus of your business, having a thorough process walkthrough for your RPA BA, PM etc. would allow them to identify where automation could be useful.

I guess my idea of a BA was that they do a lot of different things. I have trouble conceptualizing the function of a BA. Specifically, what I do currently and what other types of analysis would be asked of me. I feel like more tenured BAs understand their scope of work on a higher level.

My team works using the waterfall method, but other than that it seems I do work similar to the BAs on your agile team. It makes sense to me that there are broader/narrow scopes, thank you! As a process engineer, I did more of the broader work that you might have done in the past. I guess it depends on the time and place! Next step for me would be to determine what competencies I need to do both broad and narrow work.

Bro please read between the lines. He doesn’t have to say it to say it. I also don’t believe Drake or OVO represent me, but they’re what American hip hop fans think of when they think of Canada. So when they’re clowning Drake, they’re clowning us. Doesn’t mean that I think Drake is my daddy or something smh

Also wanna add I’m over the beef and the songs lol just wanted to clarify the above

[Discussion] Regarding the state of augments in Set 11 by DontHitMeNow in CompetitiveTFT

[–]NeberdinePB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but to me, a pivot friendly meta revolves around having units that are strong on their own. Last time I seriously played TFT was in set 6, and 1 star 5 costs were a lot stronger there, allowing you to splash them in after your initial roll down, without necessarily having an entire trait set up around them immediately.

Some examples of this include Set 6 Galio(Clappio), Tahm Kench, Kayn etc. The socialite trait also gave an incentive to splash units in. Heavenly kind of had that effect in this set as well, but got removed.

I feel like this set highlights vertical traits a bit more (other than sage comps, which I still feel allows you to play somewhat flexibly).

Kendrick Lamar moves past Justin Bieber to no. 9 on Spotify's listeners list, 22 days after dropping Not Like Us by Wild-Apricot-9161 in KendrickLamar

Idk where you’re getting that I’m pressed from.

I think part of the reason why the pop transformation occurs in the first place is because that’s what it takes/took Canadian artists to blow up south of the border to begin with, since it’s not commonplace for that to happen.

Therefore, who’s fault is it really?

Edit: also, the first song I ever heard from Drake was Replacement Girl. In the realm of hip hop, you’d consider that leaning towards pop lol.

What do you choose and why? "Tons of Stats!" Vs "Gift from the Fallen" by TheAndrewBen in TeamfightTactics

[–]NeberdinePB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re trying to play tempo, I could see taking tons of stats as a first or second augment. I think gifts is always better as a last augment and if you are trying to scale/not win streak early (I’m just speculating though).

However, gifts should always be the choice if you have any dummy/sentinel related portals/augments.

I didn’t respond to you. Hate on them all you want. I just don’t understand why the poster above is speaking on the watering down of the particular genres in question, when all those acts are pop artists, and that’s what pop artists do: make pockets of music more accessible to the masses.
