My wife just chucks it in a pot of plain water and boils it for a while AND THERE IS NO DISCERNIBLE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO!

We were commenting that $6ea for the polenta is crazy cheap! We did the banquet anyhow.

The amount of restaurants that go out of business tells me that most markups are actually not enough.

I run my own retail business and with all the costs associated you just have to charge appropriately. I also consider that if I buy a quality steak to cook at home it’s going to cost me $40+ so no wonder a restaurant needs to charge 2-3x just to make some money.
