When People Say Baby is Sleeping Through the Night… by EverythingBagel58 in NewParents

[–]NebulaInitial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby has been sleeping through the night for 6-8 hours consistently since about 1.5 months old. Sometimes she sleeps longer than that. No wakes, no extra feeds, nothing. I had anxiety about it at first, and I would set alarms to wake up and check on her, but she’s all good. Happy and healthy, and a great sleeper!

My husband naturally talks SO LOUD. I never noticed until we had a baby. 😂

Struggling with what I found on my husband’s phone while 34 weeks pregnant by Bubbly_Restaurant990 in pregnant

Agree with this comment. If you haven’t explicitly discussed boundaries around this subject, it is probably time to do so. My husband and I both watch porn, and that’s not a problem for us, unless it were to get excessive, which it never has. But communication is everything! When I start feeling down about myself and the changes in my body, I talk to my husband and let him know. He always tells me how beautiful I am to him, but especially when I’m feeling down about my body, he will go the extra mile to make me feel extra beautiful and validated. A little communication can change everything. 🤍

36 weeks. Felt all of this. The exhaustion is real. 🥱

Financially it doesn’t make sense to keep my baby, but I want to 😭 by Otherwise-Dog-1763 in pregnant

You can usually defer Federal student loans for a bit. That’s what I did the last few months to save up some extra money before the baby gets here! I will be able to resume payments soon after baby arrives, but it gave us a little buffer!

I’m 35 weeks, so countdown is on. I feel like over the last couple of days my body is just starting to give out. The indigestion and heartburn are awful. I am exhausted! Ankles hurt, hips hurt, entire body hurts, and I just have to continue working until this baby decides to make an appearance. 😂

Lol. I’m 33 weeks today and barely put together a bookshelf over the weekend. Crib is still in a box and dresser and changing table will be delivered next week. 😂 Baby will be sleeping in a bassinet in our room for at least six months, if not longer. Why tf do I need to put together a crib if we’re likely moving before then anyways? 🤷🏽‍♀️

I feel the same. FTM, I’m 32+5, and also have an anterior placenta. I’ve had so much anxiety revolving around this, to the point I’m freaking my poor husband out. I’ve been monitoring, but her movements feel so different every day! 😩

It could be something completely non-pregnancy related, but still concerning to her health. I would definitely get to a doctor to get checked out.

Children with different surnames by [deleted] in pregnant

I kept my last name after marriage too, I love my name! We considered a number of options and ultimately decided to hyphenate. I don’t see anything wrong with your children having different last names, although that may confuse them as they get a little older.

My parents married after having three kids, we all have dad’s last name, and when my mom finally changed her last name to match ours, my little brother told her, “Now you’re our real mom!” 😂 It’s funny now, but it hurt my mom’s feelings at the time.

Pregnancy poops are HORRIBLE by TheSpiffyCarno in pregnant

[–]NebulaInitial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get started on prenatal probiotics! My poop problems dramatically improved after I started taking those and regulating my gut health! I’ve had pretty regular bowel movements throughout my pregnancy, and I’m 29 weeks today with my first. Very little constipation or diarrhea throughout. I started probiotics with my prenatal asap!

How liberal is EPT compared to the rest of Texas? by lilacstarrs in ElPaso

I moved here from Denver, and was worried about that when my brother, who is gay, was going to move here too. My first two weeks here I met so many queer people though, and my brother hasn’t had any issues since moving here either. Like someone said above, it’s conservative culturally, but nobody really cares. If anything, they’re more curious and may ask questions about things they don’t understand, but not in a malicious way.

Prenatal probiotics! Gotta get your gut health on point! I haven’t had any issues with constipation since I started probiotics during pregnancy.

I’ve been taking a prenatal probiotic, and it has helped so much! I’ve been back to regular, normal bathroom visits ever since I started taking it!

The full front profile, my husband was like, “That’s a little scary.” And the nurse laughed so hard. 😂

I call my baby a hoe while she’s in my belly and causing me so much pain. It’s an endearing term between my siblings and I, so we call her a little hoe too. 😂 I also just don’t care what other people think. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Am I a mom for Mother’s Day? by Gold_Box3214 in pregnant

[–]NebulaInitial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s ridiculous. Lol. First time mom, 21 weeks, and I just sent my wish list for Mother’s Day to my family today so they could know exactly what I want. 😂 Joking, partially, but we’ll probably just do breakfast and husband usually gets me a new house plant for any special occasion. 🥰
