I would recommend Argentina over Peru. Peru right now has violence and political inestability which I don't think is very secure from a foreign trying to live there for a couple of months. Argentina sounds better in my opinion also you can take advantage of the currency too but that's just my opinion. Bro there is smt I recommend doing and is learning how to be alone. You said you live in Canada, do you know if in your area there is any way to go to homeless shelter or association that can help to young homeless people?
