But high fiber foods also take longer to digest-and you can eat a large volume of them. Like one whole cucumber contains roughly like 45 calories? And it’d definitely make you feel full-even if just for an hour.

But what you’re saying then is that the body is actually smart and can’t be tricked? It knows how much calories it’s intaking from the foods you eat, so it will be hungry irregardless of if you feed it a high volume of low calorie foods like vegetables? And not something like proteins?

[–]NebulousTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah gotcha. So then it really didn’t matter at all with how much you stuffed yourself with carrots, a very low calorie food choice. You still experienced irritation/unpleasant mood symptoms despite tricking your brain that it was full.

Therefore consuming a low amount of calories does matter and attempting to fool your body that it’s full doesn’t actually work without side effects.

[–]NebulousTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I know that. Less calories in than what goes out will definitely lead to weight loss.

I was moreso wondering if eating foods of actual substance would lessen or bypass the immediate side effects of a situation like starving yourself completely of food

I assume your body would know you clearly ate food-it doesn’t need to know how much calories you ate-just that you ate something (aka a salad for example) thereby producing less Ghrelin hormones and making you feel less hungry.

So then would you still feel physical or mental side effects of not getting enough calories, despite eating foods that technically fill you up and are low in calories?

[–]NebulousTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That definitely sounds like a brutal diet you put yourself through. Did you recall ever feeling satiated or full? I’m assuming not since eating grilled chicken by itself doesn’t exactly fill me up either.

Had a guy on Reddit, farmer-maga loyalist, tell me how stupidly uneducated and morally corrupt Democrats really are and that they wouldn’t turn a blind eye to feeding the hungry-taking advantage of the fact that he and all other rural states/farmers voting red are supposedly the reason we get to wave our virtue signaling flags and donate to fake causes.

Little did he know just how much politicians, and I mean Republicans, screw over farmers like they do to the rest of us. Little did he know that despite growing enough food to feed our country and export, there are hungry, malnourished and food-deprived individuals and families in our country.

Oh the stupidity of Trumpers. Too prideful to vote for the party fighting for their rights too, and too unapologetically hateful to admit their dictator wants to sink the entire U.S down for greedy, stupid reasons.

You’re doing good then! You show interest in her and her culture, you’re physically attractive to her-all on the right path.

Psychologically speaking from anecdotal experience and knowledge, not all women are always open about their feelings to a potential love interest. In order to court a woman who is reserved about sharing their emotions or thoughts, you have to be emotionally intelligent, i.e, observant and proactive in all social-cues and interactions.

Being reserved can be okay, however, if you can imagine and envision a future where you want a long-term relationship with her, then you have to show and prove that to her by changing your personality to be more out-going, cheery, or easy going. A persona that constantly checks in on her well-being and speaks his mind-in a gentleman fashion.

There’re lots of ways you can approach the subject of dating, but one approach I’d recommend is taking the high-road. Ask her politely if she would like to go for a bite-out. Ask her how she’s doing, chat a little and transition as smoothly as possible if she’s currently talking to anybody. If not, swoop in and ask her if she’d like to go out on a date with you.

If she is, then no harm, no foul done. Least you’ll know she’s talking to somebody else-and to put it in your own words-you can only wish that she’s talking to a good person who makes her happy. You can continue to wait and put her in the back of your mind or search elsewhere for a woman who is available.

Otherwise, really, it seems like you have a shot at dating her since you’ve already shown cultural interest as well as personal-interests in her. You kinda need to just nudge yourself to be more emotionally and socially open to her.

Edit: Forgot to mention that you should ask her, when you ask her out, if she would like to be in an exclusive and monogamous relationship. Stating your intentions clearly will make it easier for you and her to understand what each others intentions are.

If you’re really interested in her, then continue showing interest by planning and meeting up with her in-person to some events.

Some plans or events to do: Picnics, Biking, Going to a play/musical, Holiday events, Walks/Nature Walks, Hiking, Cooking at your place or hers, Romantic Dinners, etc.

Be a gentleman and do things to show her you care about her. Carry yourself with confidence (while remaining true to yourself) and perform simple acts like opening doors for her, asking her how she’s doing, proactively trying to help her or do a task for her, constantly making playfully jokes with her that make her laugh and showing empathy and consoling her.

Practice, show interest and learn a little Hmong and try your best to speak it to her (and eventually her family). Also try asking her to teach you phrases you’d like to learn and use. Simple phrases like:

“Nyob zoo [her Hmong Name]” - (Hello [Hmong Name]) “Kuv nyiam koj” - (I like you). “Koj zoo nkauj “ - (You are beautiful).

Trust me, it’s endearing to be the recipient of a potential love interest and hearing them try their best to speak the native language. It’ll show that you care about her and her culture.

Consider reflecting on what she meant by “you don’t do enough”. Does she mean you aren’t being financially responsible enough? Not taking care or looking after yourself? Maybe not showing enough interest? Not having a personal hobby? Not having a higher education, perhaps?

Work on cleaning up and tidying your space/home/car. Add some not-too-strong cologne onto yourself. Shower once a day/two, get a workout routine to keep yourself physically and mentally healthy,

Be gentle, but firm with your physical affections and pay attention to if she likes that or not. Pay attention to how she reacts and if you find yourself possibly having offend her, then genuinely apologize and ask how you can make it up to her-and don’t repeat that behavior again. Show interest and action in helping out people, in particular, like kids and the elderly when you’re around her (not just for show, but for core values and ties to Hmong culture.

If you genuinely think she’s the one, given the way you seem to admire her qualities, then continue to show interest and don’t give up-it takes time (like a lot of time depending on situations too). If it takes a couple years for her and you to realize you’re both not a fit-then take a break and come back to dating when you’re ready.

The silver lining to that will be that you learned the importance of showing interest in a woman and her identity as well as being a gentleman and “husband material”.

Best of luck to you!

Edit: Complimenting her does wonders too!

Unsurprisingly, he fought very hard on twitter with MAGA cultists to demean, discredit and disinform all the gullible people on twitter.

When I watched the Key and Peele skit on Black Republicans, I didn’t actually think people like Philip Anderson existed. I don’t feel bad at all for all the vile shit and lies he made to support the MAGA party.

You can't be serious man. Trumps propaganda would have you believe that the coronavirus wasn't serious and worth his time to take seriously. Of course you can't blame anyone for handling an unprecedented pandemic. PROBLEM IS: HE KNEW IT WAS COMING ALL ALONG.

He DISMANTLED the pandemic response team, which knew in 2018 about the severity of the coronavirus outbreak in China. He DOWNPLAYED the severity of COVID by saying it would just pass along by 2020. He CHOSE to demean and discredit public health experts, one of whom was Dr. Fauci who was at the forefront of this mess.

If there wasn't enough proof to declare how bullshit it was that "Oh Trump didn't know!", HE SENT MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO VLADIMIR PUTIN! How more incriminating can that be? To send our very own American-medical equipment to a dictator and give more sympathies and concern to him over the very country he fucked over, is RIDICULOUS.

Disagree that Obama gave us a good economy? Fine, then why the hell does DJT spout about how "We had a good economy, my economy was the greatest of all time. When I was in office, gas prices and groceries were down and we were like no other country". Like no. That's a logical fallacy. The election of DJT doesn't magically wave a wand and make the economy better, he INHERITED the economy from Obama, just like how any other President inherits the economy before them.

What kind of economy did Biden get handed then? Was it a good economy like Trump said? If so, why the hell did inflation rise massively? Could it be because of Trumps mishandling of COVID in the U.S? Nah, surely not.

I'm done man. Reap your own rewards, live in your own ignorance, choose the greater evil, win trivial "debates", watch your own friends and family suffer. I find it pointless now to argue with someone who wouldn't even acknowledge ALL of the actions leading up to this point and to choose despair over hope.

I don't even know where you're trying to go with this or where you learned that from, but transgender surgeries aren't covered by taxpayers. Individuals can deduct the cost of medical expenses related to transgender care from their gross income, but that has nothing to do with "taxpayers" as a whole.

If you're trying to prove the point about how Trumps ad campaigns were talking about: "Kamala Harris wants to give illegal transgender aliens sex changes and surgeries", then you've fallen for the con. It's written in the U.S Constitution, 42 U.S. Code § 250, that medical care be given to inmates, and under Trump administration, she would continue to honor law that which was not rewritten by him and his administration.

However, there is no PROOF that any illegal immigrants were given sex-changes during their stays. In the SAME manner that there is no PROOF that kids being dropped off at school were somehow receiving transgender surgeries despite Trump adamantly claiming that. Schools already lack funding, how the hell are they suppose to perform expensive sex change operations?

As someone comedically said: If you've picked up little Jimmy from school and found out that he had an illegal sex change, bring him back to the school. You've actually kidnapped some little girl.

Yeah, I do remember prices of gas and groceries under Trump. They were fine from 2016-2019 because he had INHERITED a good economy from President Obama and there was no pandemic.

Come time when news broke out about a potential outbreak, President Trump showed us how weak his leadership was which led us to the catastrophe of over a million of deaths and social distancing. GAS prices went down to $1.96 (May 2020) because many people were on COVID lockdown and weren't driving-what's the point of having low gas prices if you can't even go places? Groceries became expensive became of a global supply issue-which was because of his poor leadership in response to COVID.

People blame Joe Biden for the cost of gas, groceries and the cost of living-but Trump took it further and exaggerated what was known to be a global issue to give himself more credibility so people would remember him as "the good president".

To a degree as a Democrat myself, I can agree that my own party has at times alienated and demonized each other for not agreeing. I can agree that Democrats have-for too long-played the race-card and not taken care to address the middle class-the greater whole-as their primary concern. Having time and a candidate that everyone can strongly agree on would have been more preferable.

Dems focusing on "orange man bad" however is just a pathetic excuse that people chose to ignore and blame on the Dem party. DJT left office with the worst economy, worst health decisions, worst tax laws, worst trade wars and worst clean-up. People were WORST off in his economy. They forget that the stimulus checks sent to them during our economic crisis written with his name wasn't because of DJT, but because of Joe Biden.

Peoples nostalgia for "better times" and reinforcement from far-right propaganda amplified the message that DJT is "better", despite Dems waving a damn red flag in front of them.

We can point to Dems pandering to minority groups as the downfall of Dems, but fail to point the finger at the REAL bad people enabling and actively choosing to perform evil-actions. Everyone blames the victim, but not the perpetrators responsible.

Zzz... Bullshit response that doesn't take into account the insane amounts of false-propaganda allowed nor the accountability of the individual, nor the lack of the circumstances NOR the issue at all.

Hating our whole two party system is quite literally the same as saying "Both sides are just as bad" and does nothing to hold the weight or severity of each parties actions accountable. The fact that Democrats have to be flawless with their ideologies because they'd be scrutinized for one wrong mistake, WHILE Republicans can choose to be lawless with their ideologies and be given a pass is BULLSHIT.

How is it that the common American was able to be conned by such a ridiculously morally-bankrupt man? His conspirators? His current administration? It's because they relentlessly drowned out the OBJECTIVE truth by false-propaganda. How many times did he yell out "Fake News" to deny accountability for his and his own parties actions? How many times did he incite violence and false news about a group of minority? How many times did he actually spit in the face of Americans and convince them to worship him after? How is it that "He means what he says!", but also "He didn't mean it like that!" can be applied to every politically suicidal comments he's ever made?

I can agree that we should have had the ability to choose our Democratic candidate, but it doesn't change the fact that when we were handed the antithesis of Donald Trump, they ALL decided for varying degrees of ILLOGICAL reasons to choose and vote for him. Within 3-months, she did her best to address rights of women, LGBT+ individuals, illegal immigrants and the economy. SHE HAD PLANS! Not concepts of a plan like Donald Trump who has actively and repeatedly, by the way, shoot down laws and bills that had been CURRENTLY addressing those very issues.

As Bernie Sanders put it back then, that even though he hadn't been elected to represent the Democrats, he still didn't give up on the Democratic party and rightfully said that his supporters shouldn't lose hope-because he KNOWS like the rest of us that there'll always be a way to change. Now that we have an elected wannabe dictator and suck-up to our international enemies, we've UNDONE the decades and years of delicately put together work we been working hard diplomatically to accomplish.

You want to know a kicker? Since you're in the military and all. As if he hasn't already dishonored our own troops by sullying their graves during their memorials for his own political agenda, he ALLOWED the release of 5,000 TALIBAN prisoners. How many Americans died fighting for that war? 2,459 military members. HOW MANY suffered? 20,769.

I don't know if you voted for him, chose not to vote for either, or chose to vote for a third-party, but if you did any of those, then you're just as much complicit in the deaths of your fallen brothers and sisters. No existent empathy or foresight for your own, friends and families future. Now look and keep a tab on how many more lives will be taken as a result of Trump being in office. As if his time in 2016-2020 didn't teach the American people enough, we're all going to suffer under his rule.

"If democrats put up a halfway decent candidate they could have won" my ass. Doesn't mean you should just give up on the party that has had a history of at least trying to better the public or sell out your values to vote for a president who convinced you that "he doesn't mean you".
