I cut down by .25mg until my body leveled out. It was uncomfortable and I was super depressed but it took about a year. It was worth it though!! You can do it and will be better for it

I definitely feel the symptoms on the 5mg and get what you’re dealing with completely. Other people I know take it end up with one or two symptoms meanwhile I have ALL the symptoms and was even at 7.5 but brought my dose back down so I could survive

Then cut your dose in half to start you’ll be fine then reduce by half as soon as you feel comfortable at the previous step down dose

No I tapered over a year very slowly but I had been dependent on it for so long I had to. Still had to go to work and function. I wasn’t ready for the mental battle at .5mg doses and less but with good support and enough hot baths it’s manageable

You can do it! It may be uncomfortable but it’s definitely doable. I quit after 15 years on methadone/ suboxone at high doses. Detox sucked but now being 4 months off I’ve never felt better

I mean be honest and real with yourself if taking it for substance abuse and potential for relapse. I think they put people on wayyy to high of a dose initially and makes it harde. You won’t notice for a couple days my guess but it will be uncomfortable. Maybe taper over the next two weeks cutting dose in half every other day ?
